In a lot of areas, actual, real butchers are a thing of the past. But yes, if you have access to a real butcher, that’s the way to go.

Yeah, I generally hate when people complain a story is too basic because everyone has to learn something for the first time somewhere. But this is egregious.
Do you know *why* that is though? Like, I’ve heard from many people that advertising is like that and layoffs/firings to be expected, but I’ve never heard a good explanation why.
Until I clicked through, I TOTALLY thought that was a promo shot and was wondering why they hadn’t used a photo of the cosplay as the first image.
I know I’m late to the thread, but I just had to comment on this. I’m self-employed and did some work for an ad agency. It is a small, but very successful, award-winning agency. They were thrilled with my work. Begged me to come on full time, which I refused, but said I’d be happy to continute to work with them on a…
Layoffs aren’t personal, they are about money.
They also get sticky and the labels get funky with neon dribbles no matter how careful you are. I don’t want to have to wipe down consumables in my bathroom every day.

So, I know everyone is taking this as a joke or something, but this is a real, actual thing.
I have a slightly different version of this: I sort by sender and then read the most recent one. That way, I can see immediately that, say, Bob sent 13 “urgent” emails but the last one basically says, “Uh, never mind. Figured it out.”

He’s a conservative (now) but he’s not an insane, kill-the-poor bigoted Republican like Coulter. He’s more of a “I’m scared of terrorists and don’t want to pay taxes” Republican. More selfish than pure evil.
Not good questions, any way.
Yup. And plenty of vets aren’t cool with it either. My dad always got weirded out when faced with someone who wanted to treat him like some quasi-god for having been a soldier. As he put it, “I got drafted, I went because I had to not because I wanted to, and I came home as soon as I could. There’s nothing special…
What in the world does “I am a foremost civil rights activist” mean?
Still waiting to meet someone who talks like this and has actually served in the military,
Excuse me. Everyone knows the military led the way on equal rights for gays, which is why gay people had to hide basic elements of their lives in order to not get kicked out of the service.
I disagree with your premise: Have the religions become more conservative? Surely some subgroups within each one have, just as some are more liberal — more and more are embracing gay marriage, for example. And that’s going to vary within religion, communities and countries. Your Iranian example has as much to do with…
