That’s what I do, but I have heard that it is actually the less popular option. People like having that “bonus” money in their Amazon account I guess.

For anyone who does not know this: They now make Birthday Cake flavor Teddy Grahams.

I am a 42 year old mother with a professional job and whenever I have a cold I eat a half a case of Top Ramen in the course of a week. (Chicken flavor only.)

I’m OK with the bow in this case, because it’s an empowered dino. (There’s a sentence I never expected to type.) I would take issue if it was just passively sitting there doing its nails or something like that.

The one thing I will say in the store’s defense, is that a frightening number of parents *want* those traditional lines drawn for their kids.

People get fired for no reason all the time. It’s called at will employment. They can fire you for any reason as long as it is not your membership in a protected class. (Cosplayers are not a protected class.)

Awww, I had a cat like that. He was smarter than half the people I know. Give her a head scratch (or whatever she likes) for me.

The more I think about this, the more I like the idea of a megalopolis Olympics. You could have events spread out between say, Boston, New York, Philly. (So, NYC has track and field, Philly has swimming, Boston gets gymnastics and I dunno, whatever else is left.) Visitors could go back and forth if they wanted on

I love when people tout the low cost of living in their area, seemingly oblivious to the fact that higher cost of living tends to go hand in hand with more desirable* location (and usually, better wages).

This is exactly what I do. And with dividend reinvestment (a big key!) it works amazing. With a new baby and new business to tend, I basically forgot about that account for a few years. I just checked the balance recently and it almost doubled in four years.

I have been amazed at how even the most independent, headstrong cat sometimes realizes, “Shit. I need the human for this one,” and becomes the most docile, compliant cat — only for the amount of time they need your help. Then right back to business as usual.

:(

I think even kids with special needs benefit from school in most cases. There is a reason mainstreaming them is given so much emphasis now.

Thank you. I was reading the shit about nature walks and thinking that apparently I’m homeschooling my 2 year old. And all this time I thought I was just playing with him outdoors.

That was a really well articulated post — thanks for sharing your experiences.

Thank you. Most of the teachers I know all have MS degrees in their subject areas. Those who don’t have other certifications.

Agreed om every point.

doesn’t it speak to the failing of the public education system if a person that graduated from a public high school is unable to teach their child elementary school level math or literature.

You don’t see a difference between an adult wearing “not dressed up clothes” and PJs on a plane?
