Lmao.

That was perfectly said. If I had a time machine, I would take it back to 1987 and place it behind her during an interview when she is teaching a male interviewer about her decision to be an outspoken sexual being. THAT is where that cushion belongs.

*Spots Madonna’s chair cushion*

YESSSSS. In fact, to get the ball rolling, we should all refer to her as Charlie because that’s SO CUTE.

I was trying to come up with something clever and witty to say, but I can’t, so:

Is “calm down” your go-to comment? If so, you might want to expand your vocabulary because it doesn’t apply to me, or my comment. Dismissed.

Somehow I like this.

Me too, but you being here and saying that makes me feel much better! We’re still here... But we’re a dying breed.

Congratulations on your PhD. It’s incredible that you can diagnose people as “crazy” from one comment.

I’m just going on the assumption that since he hasn’t beheaded anyone yet, he might be a nice one. Maybe he is Vlad, the Impaler. I’ll think positive and wait for the signs.

I see that perspective, but it seems a little “eye for an eye” to me. That approach works for some, but I would rather we just be... I dunno. Nice? Nice to nice people?

OMG. Like, so rude of me to point out that she’s rude, right? I mean, like, let rude ppl be, you know? Like, God. It’s just, like, an opinion. AMIRITE. I mean... Everyone’s allowed an opinion and that opinion should never be challenged, because, it’s like, an opinion. LOLOL. I TOTES stand corrected. thx so much. xo

PERFECT COMPARISON. Thank you.

I apologize that my reply made you think I thought you were snarky (sorry for apologizing for that but I’m Canadian). I don’t think you meant any snark. I totally think she has the right to not find him attractive, and I didn’t mean to imply that she has to... But I also felt a feminist-crazy liberal-hippie-Jezzie

Awe, thanks! I was hoping I wasn’t the only one who thought the minute she spent smiling wasn’t that big of a deal. I mean, she was getting up to go home, anyway. Glad she’s healthy enough to do that!

For me, personally (the person who replied to the OP), I think it was just the need to vocalize it that rubbed me the wrong way. I mean, celebrity or not, that’s kinda shitty. I think he’s handsome, yeah... And not everyone needs to think that. I just find it kind of awful how we expect someone to look like a poster

I shouldn’t have to explain to you how calling someone ugly is different than fawning over how they meet societal standards of attractiveness. Welcome to Jezebel? I guess?
