Ugh. Shit like this is why I roll my eyes when people say things like “I can’t wait for the Boomer generation to die out so we don’t have to deal with this kind of nonsense anymore.” Um, their kids are JUST LIKE THEM, if not worse. 

Getting concerned that we haven’t seen Melissa Villasenor for two episodes now. I feel like the show is wasting her talents. She’s a gifted impressionist, and she just has this goofy attitude that has always made me laugh.

I’ve often wondered if Kenan is being groomed for that. At this point they might as well just give him an executive producer credit. Man’s been doing TV sketch comedy for 26 years and is a mentor to just about every cast member at this point.

But Melissa Villaseñor and Heidi Gardner were conspicuously absent but for the goodnights.

This is only tangentially related but am I the only person who wants to see something with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Paget Brewster just being snarky bitches to each other?  It might be the greatest piece of entertainment ever produced

Call me when Pete Davidson and John Mulaney review this movie.

They should seriously hire a 7-year-old girl to portray Trump. I don’t mind Baldwin’s clowning (although it’s pretty tired at this point), but getting an actual child to portray a 70-year-old man who acts like one would be priceless.

Carrie Brownstein is a fantastic writer. Her memoir Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl is not only required reading for every woman looking to rock for a living, but it’s so well-written that I’m almost afraid she might switch careers and leave Sleater-Kinney, and what’s a world without Sleater-Kinney??

Unrelated (I think) anecdote: a friend of mine who works in casting happens to be Wiccan. She told me that she put a hex on her apartment that wouldn’t let anyone with “bad intentions” cross her threshold. A friend of hers came by one day & had a buddy in tow - Terence Howard. (This was slightly before Hustle & Flow…

I think it might have hurt me! I only got into one of the 3 schools I applied to, and one of the ones that rejected me told me that I didn’t use enough “academic jargon” in my essay. (My first clue that continued academia was going to be super-pretentious and not for me.)
