actually lightning is extremely high voltage. It probably didn’t hit the concrete.

I have that printer as well and love it. I print shipping labels with it all the time and it works great. I don’t have apple devices so I don’t know about that, but I’ve had the problem with printing while it’s in sleep. I moved it closer to my router and that seemed to have fixed it.

Holy crap you forgot to mention the MAIN reason: compound interest vs simple interest! an auto loan is typically simple interest. A 2nd mortgage is compound interest.

I telecommute to SF and live in Michigan. It’s nice to live in a 2000 sqft house in a great school district for only $960/month.

turn on an ICE vehicle in a closed garage and see how long you last vs an EV.

I’m going to ignore the passive-aggressive insult and say, that’s a good point. If I was a dealer I would not welcome the OEM to compete with me. But if Tesla does continue to grow outside of this dealership network just by people buying cars online, it’s going to damage the dealership business in the long term. Maybe

did not know that, thanks for the info! Maybe they can not renew contracts with the dealerships as they expire? That way, slowly replacing them?

It’s good and bad. If he’s inspecting cars at the end of the line, it can be argued Musk simply doesn’t trust his own team to follow through on standards and practices. But on the other hand it can motivate workers to be extra diligent when working on cars since the CEO is around to watch over everything.

Wasn’t the point of this bill to change that? If this bill passed, couldn’t GM just open it’s own showrooms as well, slowly replacing its dealership network? If there’s a problem, it should be changed.

I work in Detroit as an engineer for the auto industry, and I can tell you, many people here are worried about Tesla after the Model 3 preorder insanity. But more than that, people are extremely worried about all the autonomous vehicle development that’s going on in CA, since that cuts into the ICE vehicle market as

You forgot to mention Tesla also have a plan for public transport @ the 20:00 min mark.

The charge rate has to be limited in winter depending on the chemistry of the cells. I don’t know if chargers do that though, if not, smarter chargers are needed so the battery can tell the charger to current limit in low temps.

Apple is making a car. I was asked to interview there because of my automotive background.

“Progress ain’t easy.”

sell the salt to the north so we can salt the roads during winter. There’s always a salt shortage. Now, is the salt the same? I don’t know, probably a big factor.

I haven't commented in months, but that made me laugh enough to do it today :)

Eexactly. They should make it a percentage of the gas price as well, instead of a fixed amount that needs to be changed every 20 years or so.

As we've said before, parents, just buy the damn minivan. You probably think you're too cool to drive a minivan, but you're wrong.

doesn't CO2 in water create massive amounts of algae bloom?
