I suppose this, uh, is the new car face that we all have to learn to recognize in our review mirrors.

I think their assumption is right, most companies use LTC for BMS systems. The fact that the chips has model 3 label doesn’t mean they are fully custom. All silicon makers offer custom labels for their chips to deter reverse engineering and aesthetics.

I currently own a 2005 scion tC which has 182k miles. I’m thoroughly tired of this car and finally will be receiving my Model 3 soon. I’m the original owner so this car has been in my hands for 13 years now. I do feel a little regret for giving up on this car even though it still runs, just needs a little love and I’m

If they have the plant in China, will they also build battery packs there too? Shipping from G1 would be crazy expensive. The SUV market is better in the US so I think they will stick with a plant here. Maybe in the midwest somewhere? Plenty of empty plants around.

mentioned the bay area, is this your house??

Minimum wage in Ontario is already $14.00 CAD:

Also was launched earlier. Will that be the case in 2019?

I thought he said he sold all his cars to get the lambo, so I’m assuming no more SL55?

There are other constraints such as the physics of stopping a moving car. Even with the best brakes it takes x units of time to stop a vehicle which may not be enough to prevent hitting someone who came in front of the car.

how about ending oil subsides and the tax credit?

I agree with most of everything you said. But comparing a Bolt to a Model 3? The Bolt is a Chevy Sonic with barely a charging infrastructure. The Model 3 looks like a Porsche with 500k people waiting in line, and would laugh at the concept of switching to the Bolt.

having worked in the auto industry, doing nothing at all is probably 95% of all management.

The person you describe would not be a DACA recipient which the piece highlighted.

Regardless of autopilot being on, emergency braking should have activated. emergency braking is a standard feature NOT part of autopilot. Tesla may be in trouble here.

I have a 2005 Scion tC with 176k miles. I’m done with this car but it runs perfectly fine and love not having a car payment. My car was the first gen scion and lasted longer then the scion brand itself.

without building the infrastructure to compete with the supercharger network, I don’t see how GM can compete.

I have that printer as well and love it. I print shipping labels with it all the time and it works great. I don’t have apple devices so I don’t know about that, but I’ve had the problem with printing while it’s in sleep. I moved it closer to my router and that seemed to have fixed it.

Holy crap you forgot to mention the MAIN reason: compound interest vs simple interest! an auto loan is typically simple interest. A 2nd mortgage is compound interest.

turn on an ICE vehicle in a closed garage and see how long you last vs an EV.

I’m going to ignore the passive-aggressive insult and say, that’s a good point. If I was a dealer I would not welcome the OEM to compete with me. But if Tesla does continue to grow outside of this dealership network just by people buying cars online, it’s going to damage the dealership business in the long term. Maybe
