Facebook will create a mobile OS because of the power that other mobile OSes have on apps. If Apple wants to, it can remove its FB integration, just like how they never included flash on iOS to begin with. Its similar to the reason why Google got into the browser market, they want influence in that space.

Unless linux becomes OSEK compliant, and meetings all real-time requirements, it will never be used for any safety critical systems.

I don't know is a great answer for when you actually have work to do instead of being held up in meetings all day.

Yeah I don't get the point of xfinity and hbo go on xbox since you already have a cable box on your tv. HBO on demand doesn't have everything like hbo go, so I kind of get that, but on demand has the most recent listings anyways.

google doesn't make money on the nexus line devices. They only put out a nexus device each year to debut their new OS updates. Google wants ad money from Android more then anything else.
