It’s a fake business. Pull your head out of your ass.

Wow, you sound like an entitled shithead. Saving money by breaking the law, I guess you condone stealing if it’s saving money.

It’s to avoid sales tax which in this case is $27,000. It is illegal, CA has a nark program.

The state FL should go after him for avoiding taxes by registering it through a law firm in Missoula while they’re at it. That’s over 27 grand he sleazed out of.

Rich people being rich and sleazy.

1. I can’t buy a new one for 25k asshole

I just told you I would buy a new Tacoma over a 2 year old one. You’re cherry picking the 2 cars with highest resale value. For the rest of the 95% of cars, the depreciation curve is near vertical for the first 3 years. You assumptions are all linear. So it’s not a “direct” relationship

So? He buys another used car at less money.

I bet you money disc brakes out perform in every category (hence why nearly EVERY car and truck has them > $15k). We can just go round and round. I’m sure DI beats out carbs but I’m going off the ain’t broke then don’t fix it.

I’m referring to the other frothing mouthed Taco white knights.

I mean to say 7 but I can’t edit it. General maintenance is going to be the same for the new and used car so that can be eliminated. (He had to drive a different car for 3 years)

In all the cases you pointed out you are still spending less money buying used. It’s a personal choice if a brand new car is worth the few grand extra in the case of the cherry pick examples you gave. I would buy a new Taco over a 2 year old one but some people want to save the extra grand.

From a Bronco’s fan this isn’t shocking in the least. This guy is morally bankrupt and is only as good as his word, which isn’t much.

You are seriously going to defend that drums are superior to discs? This is an example of bad or non engineering. They refuse to adapt to BETTER technology because they want to save a few bucks. Your magazine test of a few stops isn’t very convincing and better quality safety equipment is not crotch stuffing.

No I’m not. Look at that M3 up there....the owner probably paid at least 65k and probably sold it to the dealer for 45 if not less....that’s a 20k difference in 2 years. That’s 30% in 2 years.

Depreciation ISN’T linear. It’s steep the first 3-5 years. If you buy a 3 year old car for 20% less and keep it 7 years...guess what, you spent 20% less. Sell the car for the same price as if you bought it new. Spending less money is always cheaper...not sure how you’re twisting it here.

Carbs can make big power and are reliable and simple and had incredible gas mileage back in the day. If it ain’t broke...

Good to hear someone that has owned one and didn’t drink the koolaide. Every owner claims it the most terrific vehicle that has ever existed.

Question, why does every other car manufacturer use them?

2? How about every one of them.
