Damn, better kwassa them off the list of 2018 releases

4 years faster....

“decline again” - PS4 has sold like 60% better than PS3 at this point in its lifecycle

This is a really interesting discussion so I hope we can keep it going. Let me unpack what I was saying with: “If the game didn’t actively work to keep the racers close together it would be less fun. Items would be less useful. Other random elements (like in the track design) would be out of place.”

If the game didn’t actively work to keep the racers close together it would be less fun. Items would be less useful. Other random elements (like in the track design) would be out of place.

It’s not poor game design - its game design that keeps racers close & competitive. Its the difference between being a party game and a racing sim

they announced it for 2018 though, so there’s still time

I assume that’s 900 Billion yen

The server cost would be largely transactional, meaning the cost would come from people using the servers to download games & play online. The cost of hosting an unpopular game is much less than a popular game, especially a game with a heavy online component like Mario Kart

dude fuck off

Wii Fit / Balance Board, Amiibo, pokemon cards, etc

p rude of you towards Guiding Light

The Velvet Underground & Nico

They could affect gameplay if if they don’t maintain a constant framerate

The Saturn was 23 years ago - I think the internet age has changed the feasibility of such things a fair bit

If anything, switch would be more likely to get shit ports if it wasn’t doing so well. A large install base means a bigger market for ~risky~ games
