So a gallon is ~3,78 liters which means you pay like 2 dollars a liter meaning the petrol at that station is still cheaper than at my local station here in Sweden where i the other day had the privelidge to pay 2,16 dollar a liter (or 8,16 a gallon) also note that i live in one of the larger cities in Sweden 1 hours…

It’s 10000000% gouging. The same exact gas station has had double digit prices in the past. I’m not saying it’s cheap in CA by any means, but this one gas station is run by shitbags

It’s far away from other gas stations, which means deliveries are more expensive.

It’s also far away from other gas stations, which means that they can charge more of a premium.

Unless there is something keeping a competing gas station from entering the local market (like zoning approval bans or something) then it’s probably a market price. Otherwise, if it was that unreasonably profitable someone else would open a service station next door.

That “Next Gas 40 miles” sign makes me think they’re price gouging.

A little of both, I suspect. I paid nearly $6/gal for Premium at a couple of different places up in the Yosemite/Mammoth area last week.

Both MacBook Pros I’ve owned have lasted 7+ years in good working order (whereas the PC laptops I use for work seem to fall off a cliff around year three). To each his own, but I really don’t see what is so offensive about this. The tablet sticking out of dash is normally a bad look, but it can be done in a way that doesn’t look awful, and this is it. I would certainly put up with a lot worse to have the three HVAC dials, especially when they are right where they should…

You might be the only person who doesn’t like the dash of the new Civic. You’re not wrong about the dash insert having a vaguely 1950's look to it, but what is wrong with that? There were some really incredible designs in the 1950's. Things that today’s best designers draw inspiration from all the time.

I have no issue with people enjoying them. But they shouldn’t be called spirits, because they’re not. Call them cocktail mixers, maybe.

Quality non-alcoholic spirits, like their boozy equivalents, are not cheap.
