My experience has been very positive in a Mercedes Coupes (from black series to E-performances). I’ve got nothing but smiles, thumbs up, women looking at me =), it is a different experience for sure and one that carries a certain level of respect. I suspect the reason being is because their owner base is very...old so

Technically, I’m not required to wear one, but I’ve heard some stuff hit my helmet hard - rocks, beetles, horse flys, random things I never saw... They hit HARD. I can’t imagine taking that crap directly to the face or noggin, much less taking a header into asphalt. Sure, I’ve been know to go without while putting

Matter/antimatter reactors, if we can find some  dilithium crystals.

92-95 Honda Civic. I love all body styles but I have a special affinity for the hatchback in teal. I had a ‘93 Si and it was wonderful. They are super easy to work on, cheap to maintain, get amazing fuel economy, and are really fun to drive.

Easy. Two door mk5 Rabbit.

I miss it.

came here to say this too, like REALLY?

Yeah, I’m not a Subie guy, but this one definitely deserved to be on the list instead of a couple of one-off concept cars.

My very first thought.  I had a 2008 and it was the hottest hatch on the road for quite some time.

Came here to say exactly this - they missed the hot hatchback. But included an Ioniq 5 (which, while a really cool car, is not really what this list is all about).

Well, yeah!

It looks like a Civic Type R that was dragged through every aisle of an AutoZone.

Ford Focus RS. Was still priced below the average new car in the US, serious performance, but an absolutely normal Focus for all your hatchback needs. Sure, the Golf R was a bit more grown-up, but the RS just feels more substantial.

Maybe not the best, but there’s one little oddball that’s always had a place in my heart — the Mazda 323 GTX AWD Turbo. So over-achieving for its time (1989) but also so understated. I’ve only ever saw one once in the wild; it was zipping up a mountain road in Colorado.

Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2

Hmmm - I helped my sister-in-law purchase a CX-30 that fits into here very narrow garage, so I’m surpised that the measurements don’t fit. (??) Excellent vehicle that “drives sporty” and excellent value.

That’s the perfect use-case for a 4xe, imo. Though I’d add that you’ll want a convenient place to charge it at home. Even the default lvl 1 is fine. You’ll probably only buy gas when doing those adventure trips, lol.

Your second reason is due to decisions by the first. More reason that Tesla would be so much better without him around.

Agreed. A full EV that has all the utility benefits of a truck seems like nothing but win.
