Engineering Explained did a pretty great video the fuel savings of this stuff a few years ago.  Suffice to say the 10% estimate some manufacturers claim actually isn’t too far off..

I have a 2007 Sienna, 240k miles, original starter.  I also have a 2011 Sienna- the starter just crapped out at 100k miles.  Mildly annoying, but you are correct- a 5 min drive to Autozone, $170 for a new starter, and about 45 min of work under the hood and I was good to go.  I was pretty shocked at how easy it was.

These cars are pretty well mannered dailys, and with this added kit you’re looking at a total monster. I love these setups, even if they’re not for everyone. It’s a pricey ask for the vintage, but I bet it could be dealt down into NP territory.

This person is the poster child of all the inherently uninteresting, banal ‘influencers’ that somehow became mystifyingly famous in the past 10+ years. I’ve heard her talk, watched a stream- and to this day her appeal still escapes me.
