A formula 1 manual has exactly 0 in common with a consumer transmission. I’m 100% sure a manual will not be available in the “enthusiast trim” (best engine with AWD) because Mazda doesn’t have something currently in their stable that could handle that sort of abuse and the R&D is spectacular with little to no ROI.

The top trim corolla hatch is still pretty milquetoast. Sounds like the top trim engine in the Mazda is gonna be a firecracker and I doubt they have a manual that can handle it and I would put money that they aren’t going to spend the money to R&D an all new trans for a combination they’ll sell five of.
