The background instrumentals kind of remind me of Discovery-era Daft Punk

I saw a gorgeous two-tone ‘98 supercharged for sale in Tulsa for $1200 a couple weeks ago. So sad I didn’t have money, because it was basically the embodiment of what I want mine to be some day.

I got distracted by a 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R that ended up in my possession. Because I totally need a fourth car.

Oh, hey. It’s me. For those who care, this is that Buick today:

Glad to see a writer for such a small publication step it up to the big leagues! Welcome, Kristen!

Buy a $5000 ‘96 XJS and spend the other $25000 on spare engines. Duh.

Either a Triumph Spitfire or an Austin-Healey Bug-eye Sprite

The Ultimate Ground Speed Check: Tales from the Subaru

People die at rallys. People die at NASCAR races. Motorsport is dangerous, even more so if you’re a spectator dumb enough to risk it all by standing in a dumb place like the outside of a sketchy corner.

This is some next-level Kinja. Advanced kinja.

Oh boy. *cracks knuckles* this is my moment.

This, children, is what happens when you spend so much time in your car that you value it as more than the sum of its parts and take care of it with the sort of dedication that lacks from even many parents nowadays.

Man, if it wasn’t so far away I’d be all over this. Cut out the rear floor and drop it on a Buick 3800 supercharged cradle from a Park Avenue Ultra or Regal GS. Make it a mid-rear engined supercharged V6 RWD monster.

Yup. Big-ass red plastic box that says “BATT. POS” on it. Can’t miss it. Ground to the whatever and you’re good to go.

But.. there is. The Regal is the best handling, due to the smaller size/lighter weight and being a completely different platform from the Riv/LeSabre, as well as having rear Macpherson struts instead of semitrailing arms in the rear. The LeSabre/Riviera have different weight distributions, far different sway bar

Equal length halfshafts. No torque steer.

I had a Buick LeSabre and now I have a Riviera. The Riviera drives loads better than the LeSabre and has pretty fantastic visibility, especially compared to anything within the last 10 years. And the interior? Stupidly comfy leather couches front and back, and my 200k mile Riviera has fewer squeaks and rattles than my

Ugh. The Century is one of the most miserable Buicks I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. The Regal is mildly better, but not really.

Nothing wrong with boring cars.

As a naturally aspirated ‘97 Riviera owner: holy mother of NP. Far better handling than its LeSabre or Park Avenue brothers, and a near-infinite amount of mods available for the 3800 mill mean some serious sleeper potential is available from the last GM two-door sofa.
