Kenji Lopez-Alt actually did a comparison study of different techniques for making sun tea and was able to show that:

It’s really easy to brew tea in the fridge, so why even take a chance? Bacteria grows lots of places that have no sugar added (if you store your tea in a damp or humid area, stuff’s gonna grow on it, for sure). The formula isn’t sugar+water, it’s organics+water

Life finds a way.

You know, I’ve never thought about it, but Ferris probably grew up to be this exact kind of executive.

Indeed. BigBurito seems to be imagining a different case to the actual one. This isn’t an IP dispute, where those points would be extremely relevant, this is breach of contract.

They aren’t suing based on the game system itself, though. They are suing based on breach of contract, etc, which is smart. They have a very good argument of “This person was making a game for us, breached their contract on many levels, and took our trade secrets to another company, for whom they are now a full-time

they paid for him to develop a game called Rush of Ikorr, which he worked on for at least a year before backing out of his contact. upper deck asserts lorcana is basically rush of ikorr.

Disney would never pilfer intellectual property for financial gain. Accusing them of a misdeed?!

They were choosing their words carefully with that “current leadership” bit.

I find this acceptable.

Because they’re not just cancelling shows with “tiny” fanbases. They’re cancelling well-reviewed shows with solid viewerships right at the point where they would have to start paying residuals to the writers. It’s only shows with massive viewerships (like, say, Stranger Things) that are allowed to pass that point.

I was saying Boo-urns :(

You can’t choose the people you work with.”

I reckon we get AIs to replace the role of CEO more easily than that of a writer.

The kids are alright.

I find the whole “you can’t (temporarily) kill a character off during a specially nominated month” really kind of reaching for complaining.

Except they don’t need the X-gene to do the revival process. They resurrected Scarlet Witch, and during a recent event they were resurrecting a number of other non-mutant Avengers, so while they COULD discover that she has an X-gene instead of bring Inhuman, this is still absolutely the dumbest way to go about it.

Nobody believes she’s staying dead for long. Most are far more upset that how they’re doing it and giving Kamala the “Women in Refrigerator” treatment, killing the brown Muslim girl in someone else’s book to make the white hero feel sad. It’s terrible optics.

This kind of bullshit is why I largely stopped reading comics.

I get it, how many new stories can you really tell with a character that’s been in thousands over the course of only a decade (like Kamala), much less ones that have been around for multiple decades or damn near a century?

This isn’t specific to Marvel,

This is a reviled run of Spider-Man, and it’s legitimate baffling that they’ve given the “Women in Refrigerators” treatment to Kamala in the year 2023.
