Racist gatekeeping nerds are the most fragile fucking losers on Earth.

Fair. I will say that I doubt many of the racist, sexist ragey manbabies who thrive on how hateful the interwebs are care one whit for Tolkein or Rings of Power. It’s about fueling hate and then profiting from that hate. Watch the trailer for Rings of Power, and your youtube front page will suddenly feature racist &

I actually prefer that there’s black Valyrians because it’s the only way I can tell all of these fucking blonde people apart

He never was. First an English white guy and then a Dutch white guy.

When was Daario portrayed by a POC?

Martin did give a pretty nice view of the subject back in 2013:

I’m only 31, but the last romcom I can conclusively remember seeing in theaters was Hitch, back in 2005, when Will Smith was still on top of the acting world.

Romcoms simply don’t work as theatrical releases anymore, specifically romcoms that are structured around the interactions of only two people. As an ensemble

Know what they should call it?  I know what they should call it . . . . Box Office POISON!!

I saw the title Bros without knowing anything about the movie, and my assumption was that it was a very different movie that what it actually is. To me, Bros should be starring a 20-something Ashton Kutcher or maybe someone from American Pie. I would never in a million years have thought Bros was a romantic comedy.

Jenna also describes Qarl and Laenor as faking his death on their own,

A perfect storm, really. A terrible, obnoxious marketing campaign—evidenced yet again by Eichner’s tweets—but also a terrible poster with no faces, not the greatest title, etc.

The trailer for this movie has a joke that says:

I’m not spending $20 to see a romcom at the theater. Sorry, Billy, I guess I’m a homophobe.

I’m not sure it’s ever a good idea for someone to speculate about why their movie has underperformed at the box office.  It’s always going to come off as resentful and defensive.

The writer should also know that Aemond is Viserys son and not grandson. But, here we are...

That’s why Daemon murdered that random guy -- that was the body they burned instead of Laenor’s.

I mean, Jenna also describes Qarl and Laenor as faking his death on their own, when it was clear that all four parties were in on it since we see Daemon killing the guy they used as the burnt body and Rhaenyra explicitly says that everyone will think they were behind the murder and she’s okay with people fearing what

“This is a canny political move—and very bad news for Laenor. With the princess’ reluctant blessing, Daemon pays Ser Qarl a hefty sum to publicly murder his lover....The two manage to fake Laenor’s death.
