Hmm. I don’t see it. Like, we got almost a whole season to spend with Oberyn, and he gets that big fight with the Mountain at the end. This guy, I don’t even think I realized he was a character until the episode he died in.

Nice try, Craig.

Noah is an appealing TV personality, but I always felt like the public discourse lost something when Stewart stepped down. Back during the W era, Stewart would absolutely flay conservative guests, who would keep coming back for the publicity. Early in the Trump administration, Noah repeatedly shared his platform with

No one’s ever really the same after they play Hercules.

The cast is fantastic. The costumes are great albeit lacking some color IMO. The CGI is AMAZING, to the point you cannot tell a fantastical set from a CGI creation, plus the exterior vistas, dragon aerials, and locations look stunning. The sound however is poor, and the cinematography is deadly dull. It’s royalty.

My overall Game of Thrones takeaway — it’s bad luck to be named Joffrey at a Westerosi wedding

Ain’t that the truth. As soon as I saw the word “problematic” in the sub-heading I knew that’s what this review would be about. Not the episode, which the reviewer doesn’t seem to understand (her comments about the show being boring are testament to that), but just because a gay character died.

Yara Greyjoy as well, who took over the Iron Islands. Not just a woman too, but also LGBTQ.

Also, for all that the justified criticism that the end of Game of Thrones got, one bit that really impressed me was how it neatly sidestepped all the potential for Dany’s ending to come off as a message of “women should never have power” by also having Sansa end up in charge of the North, which is presented

Eh, I thought it put too fine a point on it, like the rat at the end of The Departed.

I think some of the “backlash against criticism about representation” is about the fact that it sometimes feels like it’s the only subject critics are interested in. This was, by far, the best episode of House of the Dragon. It managed to create a tension the show has been lacking, and ended with a scene where all the

So my Dogma bluray is potentially valuable?

Hugh Grant has rapidly morphed into such a great actor. He’s repeatedly said cloud atlas blasted him out of his comfort zone, and my word did that film use him in genius ways. Without cloud atlas, we never would have gotten the late period Paddington 2 wonder of Grant.

IMO, Tom Hanks is a better actor when he’s not covered in prosthetics and/or employing weird affectations and accents.

Wow, Disney really doesn’t want spoilers for the sex scene.

The Family Ties episode where he drinks vanilla extract and beats up Michael J. Fox. It was all downhill from there.

Good job making Tom Hanks look like Walter Matthau playing Mark Twain.
