Yeah I don’t see recasting as being automatically disrespectful. There are right and wrong ways to do this. The character and what he means to people are both bigger than Boseman, and in my opinion it would be worse for fans to retire the character for a generation, rather than find an imperfect way to soldier on.

Farrell is great at quirky, distinctive villainous roles without taking them into the depths of outer-space self-parody that Depp specializes in.

If you had played since ME1 then I don’t know how you’d pick anything but the red / destroy option. But it was a terrible and unsatisfying outcome. They all were. I say that as someone who saved / redeemed as many factions as I could, including the Rachni, Geth, Krogan, etc.

I think the complaint was about Ego just reacting to other cast members, rather than getting even a few moments to lead the sketches she was in. It’s tough to break out in a large cast when you’re just playing an extra in other peoples’ sketches.
