I can’t even figure out why it needs to be like this - the other two guys who played the Three-Eyed Raven projected calm wisdom rather than inhuman detachment.

I agree, she seemed like she might be a weak link in that cast when the show launched, but Tricia Helfer really rose to the occasion on BSG. I wish she had more opportunities post-BSG.
Keeping all your cast members on board for 10 seasons is a very tall order.
I remember someone here ominously questioning who was in charge of the Mountain - specifically whether it was Cersei or actually Qyburn.
If they were not going to pony up some production cash for a decent goodbye, D&D should have just spliced this into the episode:

It gave “Taking the Black” a new meaning.
My man, you should rewatch this movie in Africa - you cannot imagine the reaction of a crowded theater when Black Panther walks through that portal.

I enjoy superhero movies like this where the stakes are serious, but not necessarily earth-shattering. I find ANT-MAN to be the most charming series inside the MCU and a welcome change of pace from everything else, which is always so ***BIG***. I’d happily recommend ANT-MAN 1-2 to any friends of mine who have zero MCU…
