Live or die at Winterfell, Brienne is 100% destined to be among the next generation of legendary heroes about which songs are sung.

I agree that DisneySea in Tokyo is a great experience, and would be my recommendation to anyone who only has one day for Disney in Tokyo. The Jules Verne section alone would make it a must-see, but I also loved the fake Venice, medieval castle, and a number of other stuff. Just an incredible place to walk around even…
Even if it’s for just a few moments, I hope Iannuci can get his old buddy Peter Capaldi to show up as an unhinged, HBO-caliber version of Doctor Who that flips out on everyone.
SupGeraldo will unearth the Fortress of Solitude and reveal on the Daily Planet live blog that . . . nobody is inside!
It felt organic to me, having been in a lot of situations where the next day will have life-and-death implications. After you have done your prep, what else are you supposed to do - sit there and sleeplessly worry? A lot of people deal with the stress through humor and other distractions. Conversations may seem…
I have to assume we will see a lot of novel tactics nobody hinted at before. Because it’s not needed to set them up, and because they will be crowd-pleasing “Whoa!” moments. Think of the Scythe scene during the Wildling attack on the Wall. That came out of nowhere and everyone loved it.
I am not sure if “all-time great” is a fair label, but I have to imagine that if the upcoming bodycount is anywhere near what is expected, this episode will have a lot of re-watch pull for fans. This will be the ultimate send-off for a number of these relationships, and possibly the last chance to see many of these…
It’s pretty sad that minority women almost always have to turn to fantasy/sci-fi settings to get their best and juiciest roles.
Due to the haircuts on those guys and your initial reference, I have to insist you refer to them as “Flock of Nazgulls.”
I like all your recommendations.
“Genesis of the Daleks” in any trio is tough to beat. Just a perfect WHO. And I actually really like “The Sontaran Experiment”, I think it’s a nice bite-sized intro to the awesome Baker/Sladen dynamic.
I have to agree. S5 was a bridge too far. S1-4 was an incredible run, though.
I agree that BSG’s direction after the excellent S1-2 was ultimately not satisfying. Up to that point (especially S1) it was like a superior and more thoughtful WING COMMANDER adaptation. S3 onwards it went too deep into its own mythology.
For a role like that, you could get JK Simmons and let him riff off his old OZ character. He’d have to tone it down by 90%+, though.
Would a significant number of people complain if they eventually just brought back JK Simmons, or would that start too much drama about continuity?
I watched DOCTOR STRANGE in 4DX, and this trippy movie actually knocked the contact lens out of one of my eyes!
Even in a more action-focused season like the past few, they could still show Tyron’s advice paying off and succeeding. Instead he’s been in a slump for several seasons now, if not completely washed up. I get that it’s good to have some stumbles and cut characters down a notch every now and then, but Tyrion simply…
Beric has one of the best and most distinctive looks on the show due to the slanty eyepatch, shaggy beard, and flaming sword. The actor also has a great voice and physical presence. For this dude to be a glorified Redshirt-in-waiting just speaks to how crowded the field of characters is on this show. I’d love to see…
I feel like last season missed an opportunity to SHOW Sansa outsmarting Littlefinger to justify Arya’s claim that her wisdom has grown. Because while Sansa has had a lot of formative experiences, I just don’t believe we’ve seen enough successful scheming on her part to give credence to her being anywhere in the same st…
Given her complete and public lack of fucks given towards challenging Jon Snow, I am eagerly awaiting the dark side of the moon-caliber shade she drops on Jorah.
