If the purpose of the trailer is to get me excited about seeing this movie...
Then this trailer is a complete failure.

I never thought of Amy Adams as being typecast in Lady MacBeth-style roles. First three movies of hers that popped into my mind when you said that are ARRIVAL, ENCHANTED, and the SUPERMAN stuff. Then with some extra time I thought of AMERICAN HUSTLE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, and THE FIGHTER. So I am just not seeing the…
For real, I mean why not spend all of 2019 filming the series and then drop them in one-month intervals starting in 2020?
The first time I ever saw that scene, I was in a bar where it was being projected silently on the wall. The sound was whatever bar music they had on plus the din from a wall-to-wall crowd. I think some flashes of red in the corner of my eye made me look up. I was instantly, completely entranced in WTFery.
I assume they do already because of their role in this movie. Is that an incorrect assumption? I’m sure Viggo in particular would be happy to talk about anything outside the box of the normal celebrity questions, even if this were just some rom-com.
I feel for him, but it seems like a bit of a trap. If none of his interviews ever touched on race, he’d get beaten up for never addressing race, and interviewers would be taken to task for not giving him a platform to discuss race.
I was waiting for her to punch the cat in the face.
I used to be pissed off about KOTOR 3 getting scrapped for a shit MMO version.
Time is not always kind.
Yes, this was my first thought, as well, and I was surprised to see so many starred reviews above yours that treated this as a definitive death knell to the show. If anything I am finally convinced that LUKE CAGE and IRON FIST weren’t just killed off as shows, and that they’ll all be coming back to the new Disney…
S2 is half-good (and half absurd), while S3 is very good from top to bottom. The end of S3 is also a pretty good send-off for the show. So I’d say you should probably still watch.
I’ve seen some great films with intermissions when watching classics on the big screen - stuff like BEN HUR or LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. Those had intermissions built into them, and it was cool when the theaters still respected them and paused for 10 minutes or so. If I remember correctly, BEN HUR even had standalone…
Jeremy Irons can chew scenery like a colony of starved termites. I hope this is a comedy.
RAMBO VS PREDATOR seems like the natural way to go with this.
They could just plow through the end of the last movie if they want. Say the alien overlords waved it away with a claim of “FAKE NEWS!” and most of the public went along with it. In fact that might be the saddest possible outcome considering Nada’s sacrifice - nobody believed it or cared. Because in all seriousness,…
It happens sometimes. People just explode. Natural causes.
Or the stretch of DD S2 that didn’t have Frank Castle in it. And I’d say IF S2 stuck the landing much better than DD S2.
Neither show’s S2 opens an organic way to slot right into HEROES FOR HIRE. In fact it’s just the opposite. S2 of LC set up more of a “Shadowlands”-type scenario where Luke is estranged from his friends. And S2 of IF has depowered Danny and powered Colleen, which shouldn’t just be undone off-camera.
I agree that this is terrible news. They had completely rehabbed this show in S2, especially the last few episodes, and the finale had me very excited about where they would go in S3. Anyone who actually watched all of S2 rather than just blindly relied on the negative hype around S1 and Defenders will know that…
If this were a sequel, I’d be up for Tony Todd coming back to this with Tall Man-style elderly gravitas.
