Seems like a great way to alienate a large number of ***actual*** GOTG fans, and not just the people who are attacking Gunn based on statements they don’t really care about but dislike his politics.

Bautista seems to have a code, period. A lot of people couldn’t live with themselves if they sold out a friend for obviously wrong reasons. I don’t doubt Bautista’s sincerity in thinking this stinks. Because it does.

Agreed, Ronny Cox’s one-two punch of ROBOCOP and TOTAL RECALL were certainly huge role-reversals for him.  At this point I’d bet a lot of people look to those as his defining roles.  The guy ate scenery whole.

I have to agree, at the time it was definitely against the type that Travolta had been playing for a decade-plus.  Maybe his subsequent villainous roles have diluted the impact of BROKEN ARROW’s reveal.

HOLLOW MAN and THE RIVER WILD definitely disagree.

Even his role in TREMORS was a WTF moment if you only knew him as dad from FAMILY TIES. Reba McEntire showing up as his like-minded wife was a double WTF.

Yeah that was more like the pendulum swinging back to where it once belonged.  He was great in OZ and I weep for anyone who only knows him as a good guy.

Yeah that is definitely a great use of casting a typical nice guy only to subvert it. I don’t even think he was part of the promo tours and it was a surprise to see him pop up there!  (But rereading the initial paragraphs it seems this was actually the type of role that was excluded from the calculations.)

Good for Chopra. I watched a few episodes of QUANTICO and thought she had a ton of skill and charisma, but felt that the show itself was an astonishingly bland remix of the worst aspects of 24 and LOST. Chopra deserves a few more chances.
