I’m a lot less surprised that S3 won’t be out until 2019 now that I hear they haven’t even finished casting in January 2018.

1. What is the most strange and haunting place you have ever visited, and what about it made an impression on you?

Agreed, it’s absolutely crazy to cast a guy who can credibly LOOK like a combo of Astin and Julia and then just use him for VO work.

Agreed, Oscar Isaac can definitely carry the look and weird vibe defined by John Astin and Raul Julia. If it’s just a VO role then it seems like a huge waste and 100 other people could do this.

Just wondering how this film can be your favorite since Empire if you don’t care about Kylo, given that Kylo is such a crucial and prominent part of this movie.

I liked that it wasn’t full of over the top fan service, and I get that the focus of this trilogy is on the new characters . . . but I was surprised that most of the classic characters were sidelined to essentially cameo roles. Luke was about as prominent as I expected, but Leia was way more involved than I had…

It’s hard work to be the worst Joker in history but he managed to accomplish the mission.

I’ll agree that the CGI badguy at the end was lame. It’s the same problem in every Snyder-era DC movie - the last act is always an over-the-top fistfight and powerfight that is so far down CGI’s uncanny alley that it’s like the 8th Dimension.

Reminds me of latter-day Michael Caine talking about his career, noting that when he was younger, he was just a “movie star”, whereas after decades in the business and actual experience under his belt, he was finally an “actor.” It’s a reminder that some people (not all) improve and get wiser with age and experience.

It’s pretty clever by Franken and throws the gauntlet down in case Trump or anyone else in the GOP wants to go after him: “Hey I am committed to answering charges and dealing with allegations transparently, and I permitted an investigation - how about you? And what about your taxes?”

Just focusing on the photo, if THAT is the sort of juvenile image that people believe precludes public service or employment in general, then I am not sure how many adults in America - both women and men - are left in the talent pool, especially in the world of relentlessly clicking cell phone cameras.
