Agreed, it’s the sort of performance that makes you remember that this guy is an ACTOR and not just a movie star playing the same role every time he’s onscreen.

Sounds more like modern-day Japan.

I am just glad that George is still alive and able to defend himself, rather than sandbagged after he dies and then we just get one side of the story. Maybe George himself isn’t, but hey.

She best watch out with the demands or else they will re-cast her with Don Cheadle!

Just from the perspective of a show-watcher... HOC/US has been off the rails since S2, but I wish they had been able to finish their run just to see if they could wrap it up in a satisfying way. However, I think after this week, Spacey has become too toxic for them to continue. Sad all around, but the eruption of

Lithgow has been chewing scenery to shreds longer than most actors have been alive. BUCKAROO BANZAI, RICOCHET, CLIFFHANGER, even his short TWILIGHT ZONE appearance, and much more. Woe to ye if you are ever called to face off against Lithgow unleashed.

Was the director messing with Goldblum at 4:30 by sticking a Benicio Del Toro tattoo in there?

Yes, and the original series is MUCH better, anyway. The US version has been off the rails since S2.

And yet I still like SUNSHINE better than about a half-dozen films that made this list. That first 2/3 was unforgettable to me. (Well the last 1/3 was, also, but for less great reasons.)

Not sure if she needed to cry but she didn't really sell her sense of loss for me until she was at Jon's recovery bed.

Pretty much EVERY DAMN TIME.

Absolutely - more than any character on the show, Arya seems to always get a free pass by fans no matter how dumb the writers make her or how absurd her storylines become.

He could still earn a place in the story by advising Lyanna Mormont or being a bridge between Dany and Jon. But it looks like they're setting up a jealousy angle which means they'll probably kill him just to clear the path.

What throws a D&D party into more chaos than almost anything? Kill their healer. Objectively that's the move that makes most sense if they want to up the drama in a "behind the lines" episode.

The show hasn't really sold the point that the Wildlings actually trust and follow Jon Snow. Instead - at least from what we have seen, with HARDHOME being the longest look at all of this - it has appeared to hinge on Tormund trusting Jon Snow, and the Wildlings trusting Tormund.

I want so much more of this.

Kit and the director definitely sold the terror of facing down and daring to touch a dragon.

Better to watch ASAP and not have jackasses spoil it for you all week. You can rewatch later.

Agreed that the talkier moments in this episode were way above par for GOT - tons of hilarity and wisdom.

I think this episode had me saying "oh no!" more often than any other episode in the whole run. FREQUENT PERIL.
