While I’m more inclined to agree with FridayFriday here than the alternative, this comment is really funny.

General rule of life in any situation is clean up after yourself as much as you possibly can.

You know who else left their trash in the movie theater? HITLER!

Have theaters stopped showing the “please leave your trash in the fucking trash cans” piece of the obligatory “here’s the exits, turn off your phones, and otherwise don’t be a dick” preamble they give you before the damn movie starts? They friggin’ ask you politely not to do it, what’s not to understand?

So tired of those trolls. Like, I can understand that there are situations where racial identity can be a struggle. Biracial families, adopted families of different race, etc. So I don’t wholly dismiss the idea of “transracialism” as a concept (though, if you read my posts on this story it may seem that way since I’m

I am a former movie theatre worker, current movie theatre industry worker, and every single time, I will clean up *your* trash as I walk out of a film. I do not leave it for staff. There are pretty quick turn-arounds and staff has to deal with way grosser shit than your trash, so let them have time to deal with all

So much for the legitimacy of that “transracial identity” issue that so many TOTALLY NOT TRANSPHOBIC people were bringing up.

It's not okay to leave trash anywhere, theaters shouldn't be considered special etiquette bubbles where the employees are super stoked to clean up after you.

Do you expect employees NOT to clean up where they work?

Right? She goes from “why isn’t there a white history month” to fake advocacy? WTF, someone with a psych degree, enlighten us, how does such a shift occur?

This was my EXACT reaction to this article I even let out a little ‘Ruuu?’ as I tilted my head.

I was once out with a work acquaintance who didn’t understand why I insisted on tipping *more* than the standard amount when the bartender comped a few of our drinks (she thought being expected to tip on the free drink was “already stupid”). She got really offended when I just plunked down $5 of my own to make up the

It’s baffling. Dana’s story indicates (conservatively) no less than 9-10 trips to the table. How can anyone try to defend a $2 tip for that amount of service?!

I mean, I’m having a hard time thinking of any situation in which it’s ok to leave your trash lying around.

The fact that people are complaining that story isn’t as bad as the others is the most half-assed, anemic iteration of Pinkham’s Law I’ve ever witnessed.

Kind of... and I say kind of because I had this discussion with a good friend of mine because her children, not her, was hell-on-wheels for a while.

Has anyone out there just refused to go to restaurants with someone? Like sat them down and said something along the lines of, “When we go to restaurants I feel very uncomfortable. I think we have different ideas about tipping and how to treat waitstaff and these ideas are things that I do not feel comfortable

Holy shit, how is this hard for people? If you are getting food on sale (AYCE, promotion, gift certificate, etc) or free, you TIP BASED ON THE NORMAL PRICE! You are tipping for the service. The service is not on sale/free just because the food is.
