Check out Alton Brown’s “Good Eats.” I know there’s a pie crust recipe that goes into the technique and the science behind it. I believe there’s also an episode or two on cake. (Select episodes are on NetFlix, not sure if the ones I mentioned are in there, but your library may have DVDs)

I’ve found this a number of times on Amazon. The shipping costs way too much for a light/small product. They often use it to pad their “reduced” price.

I’m about 3/4 of the way through Creativity, Inc. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Reinforced some of the ways I manage my team and gave me some excellent ideas for doing even better. So glad I grabbed it.

Ah sports...

An all-cheese tour of Europe...nirvana.

I feel your pain. I share an “open office” (gag) desk with 5 people. Way too low for me. Someday, I’ll get to sit at a big-kid table.

I love how they left her name and DOB on it, but masked her email address.

My sense of irony will be satisfied if this app is a huge battery hog.

We’ve saved a ton. Mostly because we grab gift cards for other stores/restaurants while we’re there (for purchases we know we’re going to make). We built a new deck on our house and bought a bunch of Home Depot cards to pay for stuff. Bingo, saved a ton on gas the following month.

So, they’re basically racing to duplicate Alamo Drafthouse. How quaint. A noble effort, I’ll give them that.

Oh she’s a dirty girl. A very dirty girl.

You...you used the Oxford comma.

Can I program it to change channels when I flip it off? I think this is going to be necessary since it sounds like we Americans are going to be slammed with Trump commercials from August to November.

At the rate they’re offshoring jobs in programming, I was just thankful to get a job and took whatever they offered.

Typically, when I wait in line for theater, I’m expecting a good show. Not just a farcical comedy of errors.

I find Mac keyboards a painful experience to type more than a few sentences on.

That was udderly terrific.

Ditto here. But I still prefer the web version. Maybe they’ve finally cleaned it up.

I prefer a nice Tomato Basil Bisque for my grilled cheese (though I make mine with sharp cheddar, swiss, or gouda and use a nice flavorful bread).

Well, you’ve got two separate issues there. Yes, meetings can be dull. But by failing to pay attention, you disrespect the presenter...at your own peril. It’s the same as school. You may find the material dull, but you will need to know the material for the test.
