Congrats! You were the first comment (to be unnecessarily judgmental and punitive over something that does not affect your life in the slightest)!

Fellow occasional Forever 21 shopper here.

Can we please discuss the wonderful that is this manicure? Well played.

I was a Chanel Number 5/Shalimar girl in high school, which I also had no fucking business wearing.

Now that I’m grown, Jicky is my go to for the old school classics.

This is true of just about any perfume. Things that smell amazing on other people (citrus heavy anything, Gucci Rush, pretty much anything other than Addict by Dior) that smell like death by disinfectant on me.

You don’t even have to be super thin or super athletic to do this. Some people just naturally have more prominent collarbones, just as some people have more pronounced chest cavities or rib cages.

Nearly every week, I end up having a weirdo fondness for the joke item at the end. What this says about me, I am unsure

Seriously. Matching colors and listening to what the person in the chair wants/needs for their make up look should both be basic skills for a makeup up artist, particularly one who works in a department store. It amazes and saddens me how many people can’t step one inch outside of their own comfort zone and personal

~notes to never go anywhere near NY Adorned, as the work is overpriced middling crap done by presumptuous assholes~

I take great pride in being a well preserved specimen for my age group/lifestyle. Plus my make up and skincare routine is the quiet, pleasant part of my day before I have to deal with the chaos of either of my jobs.

I’ve had a ton of success with snail creams and masks. Keeps my thirsty, irritable skin calm, hydrated and clear. I’ve now moved on to stage 2 addiction, and grabbed some snail based body moisturizer as well.

Can I come sit over here? I was at work, stressed out, and used my break to buy a bag of assorted face products. I also, have a problem.

The anti agers and other grown folks specific products are in less stunt/cutesy packages.

r/asianbeauty subreddit has a ton of information, trusted sellers lists and reviews. Another member here pointed me to it, and it did help me find products that work for me, without buying a bunch of stuff and praying for the best.

Snail products are magic. I’ve been using the TonyMoly Timeless Snail Ferment (both face and undereye creams) and it has kept my face looking human even after several brutal work weeks and a bad cold that will not die.

Sephora barely carries TonyMoly, and none of the best (IMHO) bang for the buck products are sold there, just the stuff in the easily impulse buyable super cutest packaging. I’m kind of wish I could do all of my product shopping in one place, but it is fun to make the rounds of the Korean beauty sellers in person.

I personally am not a huge trend chaser/seasonal dresser. I focus on shapes and cuts that flatter me, and sprinkle in accessories/shoes/bags/make up that reference current fashion goings on.

Enormous rings are a weakness of mine. I love a ginormous cocktail ring, and I love this woman saying “fuck it” and stacking a bunch of them.

I have an intense, visceral hatred of the way primer feels on my skin. I prefer to make sure my skin is well moisturized before I apply make up, and that’s my “primer”.

Dorinda’s lips necklace is awesome, and I would totally wear it. Probably more often than a rational person should.
