I love androgyny/tomboy clothing, but a lot of the shapes just do not work on my frame(Not quite tall, on the curvier side). For almost 2 decades now, I have fruitlessly tried on everything from sharp suits to slouchy button downs.......basically if it looks like it could be sold on either the tomboy tailors or

Just for you, “MsMonochrome fails at meeting Prince” 2nd edition:

He knows. He knows all about it. If anything, he’s likely amused by it.

Neither is that good of a story, as I’m an idiot. But here’s the first of 2 editions of “MsMonochrome tries and fails at not making an ass of herself around Prince”:

Prince-no matter how much his current record sucks, he’s an amazing live show. Such an amazing guitar player.

By comparison to the surrounding towns? Absolutely

I’ve been there. It used to be just a cute little college town/old school hippy enclave. In recent years it has definitely gotten a spiteful, oddly smug undertone, not sure why.
Maybe the influx of wealthy fauxhemians?

Let us not forget the required elaborate and gorgeous vanity tables. No self respecting Old Hollywood starlet should fix her face without one :D

I wear like this week’s makeovers were the most consistently wearable out o all of the posts we’ve seen. I wonder if having friends in the chairs helps check any impulses toward flights of fancy the MUAs might have? Or having a friend near by makes it easier to state your preferences in an assertive but not rude way?

Whoever said that has most likely not spent much time on the East Coast. The comment makes sense if most of your associations of the Northeast are from movies/tv.

Peggy’s hair is also badass. You and Heidi are made of hair WIN

I’m just very precise regarding fit. You can be wearing something inexpensive, but it looks spendy if the fit is excellent. I’d rather have 1 great fit, than 20 “meh” pieces I barely wear.

Most of the women I know wear very little make up, or none at all.

I always thought I was the lone weirdo painted lady/make up junkie.

I’d totally do this. sounds fun.

It is a really good lipcolor, and looks fantastic on her. I just wish that same mouth took more care in what it chose to say/how those sentiments were worded.

I feel that other people should adorn themselves(or not) based on what makes them happy.

I hate trying things on with the sort of furor most people reserve for child abusers and kickers of puppies. I can very quickly run through a store and know what items would be good buys for me. The enormous, annoying time suck is having to try every single one of them on.

Additionally, because I’m a statistics

Heidi’s hair is perfect. Please teach us your magic.

My contribution for the week.....this here super cute black leather Botkier wristlet/clutch for $39 (http://tinyurl.com/nezc8nc)

I really wish the “women’s” department brands would stop doing this. I want better quality/am past the age for the “juniors” section....but the second I try ANYTHING in the “women’s/ladieswear’ side of the store, even the extra small fits like a tent.

I am a size 8/10. I love being my curvy self, vanity sizing won’t
