When you’re ready to replace your waffle iron, look into the Cuisinart Griddler and add the waffle plates. The plates detach and can go into the dishwasher.

Some TSA checkpoints (not all, and I can’t remember which cities) have a bag-sized cut-out that the bag needs to clear before it can go through the scanner. I’ve not witnessed a bag that didn’t fit through the template, but I expect that person would’ve had to go back and check it at the counter. Frankly, I prefer

Um, OK, but did you get the cookies?

It’s been a while since I’ve flown Delta, they’ve always had Biscoff cookies (hope they still do).

Your comment is based on ignorance. There is no peanut allergy vaccine. There are some people who cannot be in close contact with peanut protein. Anaphyaxis resulting from peanut (or other food) allergy is life-threatening.

I never knew there was a “Santa Maria BBQ menu” and we’ve always served ranch beans, salad and garlic bread with our tri-tip whenever we’re grilling for a group. It just seemed like the right combo. No mac-and-cheese with our menu, though. Pop a couple of cold beers, and it’s a party!

[edit: my formatting got Kinja’d]

Not vegan, because I won’t give up my dairy. I just prefer to not eat meat. Butter always makes everything better, though my arteries would probably be happier with the olive oil / garlic combo. Thanks, I’ll try it.

We grew spaghetti squash this year. I’ve been looking for different recipes as ‘spaghetti squash with marinara’ is just too basic. This past weekend I made a dish with FieldRoast Italian Sausage, onion, red bell pepper, fennel seed, crushed red pepper and crushed tomato, all sauteed and served over cooked spaghetti

I’ve had the Beyond burger at Carl’s and think it tastes like (how I remember) beef (it’s been more than 5 years since I turned vegetarian). I haven’t tried the BK Impossible yet, sounds like I should pass?

There was one in our community. Really enjoyed all the options and everything was fresh. It closed after only 9 months or so, probably a victim of the over-promising owner. We heard that the franchisee couldn’t pay the rent and they were locked out of the building.

My question is why would anyone want to fly home with leftover food. Is is really that good? Is it really worth the hassle? And the window for spoilage is so short. Traveling over the holidays is already stressful. Just go to the airport bar and order a bloody mary and be done with it.

I tried to do this one time by suggesting some of the sides could be upgraded. I was just about disowned. Some people are crazy-set-in-their-ways about Thanksgiving foods.

Absolutely will try this! Our family is a mix of omnivores and vegetarians, and I usually make two stocks for gravy, one turkey-based and one veggie-based (roasted mushrooms, carrots, shallot, celery, spices, etc.). But I like the idea of a chickpea stock as I don’t have to waste the beans after they’re cooked.

This is the greater San Diego area within 1/4 mile of any In-N-Out.

Have you tried the organic 2%? Not sure about national or any other local brands, but the one we get locally (NorCal) is actually pretty good. I’m not a big milk drinker, but I do use it in cooking. It’s creamier, so it mimics full fat milk while saving some calories. That I can then use up for other foods, like

I really liked Sweet Earth products. The Santa Cruz burrito is a great quick lunch grab. I’m saddened to hear that they’re now owned by Nestle. I’d also prefer to buy from smaller, non-corporate entities.

If my bag is in the bin already, nobody moves it. If it needs a little nudge to help someone else out, that’s OK. But it’s not moving to another bin (don’t even think about shoving it to the other side of the bin) just because someone else feels entitled to the space. Yes, it’s happened and I will speak up.

Alaska airlines defends row 6 bins like a mama bear. That’s because it’s the bulkhead and I appreciate it. I always try to upgrade to row 6 whenever I can. Delta will also defend the overhead bins for Comfort Plus passengers.

It happens sometimes. Usually when there’s an unexpected equipment change. Flying ATL to SFO, I had an upgraded aisle seat, boarding pass showed something like 10D (I had just upgraded on my way to the airport, and it still showed that seat as an aisle). After boarding, 10D turned out to be a middle seat in a larger
