Depends on the brand. Store brands not so much, but some of the name brands are better quality. Jeans under the Rider brand are made by Lee and pretty durable. I get everyday wear there — T-shirts, sleepwear, etc.

I still wear them. Gotta replace my black pair, so I’m looking forward to seeing these (or their less-expensive knock-offs) in stores soon.

Carson Kressley.

Mr. Whiskers kept his maiden name when we married and Jelly Jr. has both names on his birth certificate (hyphenated). When he got to middle school, we let him pick the last name he wanted to use and he picked mine. On all things legal, he’s still hyphenated, but uses only one last name for daily use. Whatever you want

Thank you. It’s been years and I’m finally able to read articles like this without a PTSD flashback. I hope this guy rots in a rat-infested black hole.

Unfortunately, your first scenario is all too true. It happened to someone I know, may she rest in peace. Her killer was convicted and sentenced to prison, a small consolation for her life.

I remember watching this in the late 1990s. Jelly Jr. was a toddler and it was one of the few adult programs with a brain that I could watch while he was napping (I don’t do soaps). The View was my adult escape from the animated educational programs at the time. Though Sesame Street will always rock!

I so wanted to do this the time I was checking on a neighbor’s flock, that damn rooster attacked me and I ended up in urgent care getting stitches in my head.

He’s trained enough to know that big bowls, pots, etc., get hand-washed. He’s OK with doing that, so we’re good.

Ha! No goatee, though.

Dishwasher organization 101. Load it properly and it’s easy and fast for anyone to unload. Mr. Whiskers loads them randomly and sometimes backwards (bowl at the edge, facing outward). I rearrange nearly every day and he gets mad. I tell him that I rearrange even my own dishes to ensure maximum load and washing

Ugh! I hated only being known as my son’s mom. I changed dentists because the staff would persistently call me “Bean Jr’s mom” even when I reminded them my first name was Jelly.

Exactly. Maybe I wasn’t clear - she can speak the language as a native, so why the over-stressing? I like many of her recipes, though.

She was born in Rome where she lived for her first 7 years before moving to the U.S. She’s a native Italian speaker. But why does she insist on over-stressing the accent on Italian words? I don’t know. It’s grating.

I suppose it depends on where one gets stuck and the options. I used to be a United & AA fan, but lately Delta has been better at the customer service thing. YMMV.

(some do it better than others, just look at Delta and their massive meltdown after storms hit ATL).

Amen /snark/. I survived Chatechism and then later, Catholic school. I got out of that so fast. I now get the heebie-jeebies just walking into a church, which I only do when required (weddings, funerals). Out of courtesy, we attended a friend’s child’s Mormon baptism, they do it later than Catholics, I think he was

I have long (bra-strap length) wavy hair. I got a set of these as part of a Glossybox shipment last year (thank you Millihelen ... I miss Millihelen). I use one every night to put my hair up when I sleep. They don’t pull hair out in the morning, and my natural wave stays intact without a band mark.

I’ve been to Columbus, enjoyed that city. In downtown Sacramento, the city-center mall was recently replaced with an arena (Golden 1 Center), new home of the Kings. It opened last year with two Paul McCartney concerts. This weekend it hosted some of the NCAA playoffs. The new arena has brought more to downtown than

If the emergency spillway fails, there will be uncontrolled amounts of water entering the Feather River. Yes, the hillside will probably erode but the real danger is downstream. The Feather River eventually meets up with other rivers (Yuba, Sacramento), and the outflow is through Sacramento into the delta, the SF
