What a joke. Glad I spent 6700 on an e90 335i with full bolt ons and $4000 lightweight wheels. Since then I’ve put about 3k into it including an m3 interior and it makes a fairly reliable 400whp and even more torque. Why TF would someone pay 4x as much for this stripper poser car?

“I got to control my emotions. I will always control my emotions now”.

Call it what it is! Those two magic words:

How long before an aftermarket tuner makes a piggyback system to achieve this mod for 10% the cost of what Tesla charges? This is how the turbo has gone, and I’m sure the aftermarket tuners will jump on the battery game once the market is big enough. No warranty voids if you can’t prove it.

I agree, hipster. This is for the guy who looks down on the guy with an affliction shirt and an F250 on 40s with a Monster energy theme. Funny thing is, they are more alike than different. Both are likely to have this bought for them by their parents. The difference is the F250 guy’s parents made money without a

Sounds like a queef from a ‘My 600 lb Life’ participant.

The only way to properly do this is to get a hail damaged totaled M5 and swap everything (drivetrain, suspension, front bumper, interior) over. Otherwise, it is a 1/4-1/2 ass job.

GTFO with that price. For the money of the ‘tactical’ version, I could buy:

I have mever understood why people pay so much for bolt on superchargers they could do themselves over a weekend with hand tools. Maybe back in the 90s or even early 2000s it was harder to access quality aftermarket parts and installation help through forums. Now though, there is no reason to pay the outrageous price

Sounds like a regular car guy to me. No need to slob his nightstick.

I remember a Dodge Ram with exhaust stacks from when I was younger (90s) that had this across the windshield:

What’s not seen is the dodge’s dash shattering to pieces upon impact.

It needs a turbo four or five (Acura Vigor shoutout) that gives it the low down 300lb-ft truck buyers want. That would also likely deliver even better fuel ecomony than the 3.5 V6. Honda used lots of engineering braum everywhere else, but they just said F it when it came to the drivetrain. That may be their downfall.

That poor floor sweeper kid.

10 speeds? Just stop. How big is the transmission cooler in this thing? I suspect it will be shifting gears while going over speed bumps. At some point it just doesn’t make sense. I think 8 is plenty. Personally, I daily a 6spd manual and rarely ‘need’ to shift gears in most situations, and I am about 100 ft-lbs shy

Dad?

Or you can pick up a D1 like this for way less than 10% the Defender’s cost. It has the EXACT SAME drivetrain except for the high gear on the transfer case (1.41 vs. 1.22). It’s also the Goldilocks in wheelbase at 100", and has power windows, seats etc.

Ugh, it always comes back so soon. At least I have the nba playoffs to keep me sports entertained between the snoozer baseball ‘highlights’. Then it’s no espn until college football starts.

I daily an 02 M5 that I paid $8400 for sight unseen with 185k miles. It currently has 189k and so far I’ve only replaced the thermostat and fuel pump as repairs. I’ve done some other preventative maintenance along with cosmetic work, exhaust mods (a must), and a shark tune. I am currently waiting for a timing
