If he tricked her, she’s a lot more dense than any human has a right to be. People have been calling out Oz’s less-than-medically-effective snake oil for ages, but she continued to have him on her show, continued to refer to him as an expert and even gave him his own show.

There are valid reasons to call out Oprah in regards to Dr. Oz, but they’re for bringing him to national prominence in the first place and giving him an unquestioning platform to shill his snake oil, not for endorsing Fetterman over him.

In retrospect, he was also frighteningly believable as Ricky in “Better Off Dead”, too.

I was about to ask about that- now that Legends is gone, Stargirl is the most fun Arrowverse show (although, technically, it’s just Arrowverse-adjacent).

It’s not about fun- it’s about overpowering everyone for the sake of overpowering them and getting bragging rights.

I nearly lost it at the “David Bowie Is...” exhibition.  One part had the video of “Life On Mars” playing behind the suit he wore in the video.  For some reason, it hit me hard- I had to walk away and collect myself.

There’s not enough updog in the world to make that happen.

That really sounds like an urban legend.  Kind of like the one about how Gerber baby food failed in Uganda because it had a picture of a baby on the label, so the Ugandans thought it was jarred baby.

My favorite is from a short story I read when I was a kid, where the main character’s name was “Carl Aud”.

Comedy Central chopped it to bits and really did a disservice to the show. If you ever get a chance to see the uncut episodes, do yourself a favor and watch them- their hilarious and disturbing at the same time. There are three seasons and a Christmas special.

Osceola and Orange counties are probably the bluest in the state.  DeSantis and the rest of the Florida government aren’t going to do jack to help them.  This is a win/win for DeSantis.

DeSantis and the Florida government won’t care- Disney is located in the bluest districts in the state.  Any fiscal issues that arise will only be hurting Democrats- for DeSantis it’s a win/win.
