Not that ANY iteration of the g6 was a “looker”, but it wasn’t awful looking in base/gt form... but it’s so rare that the upsell version is SUCH a worse looking vehicle - i mean that doesn’t happen often at all, and possibly NEVER to this degree.

It was something I didn’t believe was going to actually see the light of day, and somehow looked even WORSE in public when I saw an actual car with one on it.

100% agree.

Hate the usage of mustang in the naming.
Dislike the rear lamps.
Otherwise this is pretty interesting.

Drop dead gorgeous, and classy in a way most Ferraris haven’t been in a long time. I love it.

A light “clacking” diesel-y noise could be heard when driving at low speeds, but it wasn’t harsh.”

It IS early here. It’s not unheard of that we get flurries here and there, but it’s extremely rare to have actual snow accumulation before thanksgiving- and this is the 2nd time already.

I’m SO torn. I admit it doesn’t look half bad for what it is.

You can get lower mileage, similar (apparent) condition stock ones without a respray for this money if you’re patient.

Right - I bought a TJ Sahara (nicer interior, i6, full doors) for 8k a year ago. It is in SLIGHTLY worse condition, but same ballpark. It kind of hurt to pay that much for mine, no way i’d pay the same for a base model.

I own a Jeep of this generation - so I can attest that TJ’s absolutely ignore the normal depreciation trends. They command insane values compared to other vehicles with similar mileage/condition/age/etc.

All solid votes, I would add in a First Gen MR2

I am an avid motorcyclist. Everything from commuting to cross country riding much like the author’s adventure. It can be brutal, hard and relentless but it is absolutely the best way to travel across our huge, varied and beautiful country.

As the years go on, I grow more and more fond of those 80's v8 vantages.. I hope they actually DO something with it, and it just isn’t a “roll up to a cottage and park it” moment in the film.

At least the Ford doesn’t cause permanent eyesight damage.

Well, on behalf of all Jalopnik readers, thank you for taking time out of your day - a day filled with nothing but perfect timing, opinions and general superiority - to police the audience. We are but humble people taking a break at work to read an article about cars, but we get the bonus of having somebody SO

There’s no wrong answer when it’s somebody’s opinion. You, me and the 930 guy are all allowed to have an ideal experience and not have to apologize for it.

The R34 is hard to not inflate purely for the U.S. forbidden fruit aspect of it. 98% of us have only experienced one in video games and so we can only see it through rose tinted glasses.

These are a definitely unique, and a bit quirky. The price is cheap enough that if you had a nice local motorcycle but needed something to go far occasionally, this would do the job and you wouldn’t have to really LOVE it to own.

It’s near the high end, but this is super clean, looks to have not been beat on, tasteful mods and great performance upgrades. Near the top of the market, but near as good of a NC as there is out there.

NP!
