Yeah. I doubt either will go down as timeless, like AT ALL. When I say it’s pretty it’s because it’s smooth, relatively unfussy and not offensive. But it’s not something lustful that 200k needs to have. Not when there are things like the Jag F-type for 1/4 the price that STILL looks amazing after being around for like…
I purely meant that this car was designed and shown to the public far earlier than anybody saw the C8 - if anybody could’ve copied styling it’d be the Corvette copying this.
Copy of a C8? The car the world saw for the first time 5 weeks ago?
Ummm, no.
When ribs are “fall off the bone” they are vastly overcooked. (coming from a bbq snob, so take it for what it’s worth).
Turbo lag questions, lol
I remember seeing the actual movie hero prop cars at a car show around the time the movie came out. At the time, nobody in the u.s. really knew about evos, and that fwd only eclipse was nobody’s dream car either. Nobody knew why they chose those cars aside from marketing deals, especially when the cars of the first…
So, it’s an Infiniti Q60 with a huge kidney grille up front?
AKA a better looking bmw from the front wheels back?
I don’t know about naming it, but I LOVE having the roof off, heater blasting on a cool (anything over say, 48deg) day. It’s such a wonderful experience. I strongly prefer it to a topless summer day when it’s 90 and the sun is destroying you.
As an early 80's baby and ‘growing up’ in the 90s, Ferrari could not do wrong for the first half of my life. They were all achingly beautiful, and aside from the (time appropriate) over-the-top Testarossa which I adored and the ‘ahem’ controversial F50 which I also loved in a way - Pininfiarina seemed incapable of…
I had a friend in college in 99-ish that had one of these and it was FANTASTIC.
This is terrific. These things are nearly impossible to place an accurate price on, but I think it’s right on the money. Custom projects are only worth what somebody is willing to pay, and I see MUCH rattier less quality cafe cb750 builds going for close to or this same price quite often.
It’s clooooose. 11,500 is a no brainer since aside from the paint it seems really good. I’d say a new paint job or maybe prep and a nice quality wrap would be in order, but if it ran beautifully and the paint was the only real hiccup, 13,500 woudln’t be bad. I say nice price (if just barely).
XT like this in a wagon form (but not a jacked-up outback) would be a fantastic DD.
Well, I wouldn’t call mine ugly. It’s pretty restrained as far as those things go, and still looks pretty darn good. But I totally get you.
From what COUNTLESS reports say(more actual reports and far less speculation than here), there is no chance a manual will be coming to ANY c8 - they decided to not offer one so the car was engineered and designed without space for one.
My dad bought one of these boutique choppers in 2005. I mean, technically it’s a Pro-Street style, not a chopper but for argument’s sake it is the same thing.
I am in NOWHERE near the market for such a thing, but I wish I was. Man, what a fantastic DD this would be.
I like the 3-door. When I had a 2-door GTI for years, nobody ever could really sit behind me as I drove (i’m tall) - so everybody got in and out on the passenger side 100% of the time. Why not make that side easier for everybody?
Once the altima moved up in size from it’s original compact form (around 2003-ish?) it immediately cannabolized the Maxima market.
