That mime thing was batshit even by Gotham standards. I texted my friend that Penguin and Joker were playing a mime game in prison, and I think she thought I was making things up.

Agreed about loving comic book Riddler. It’s not quite the same, but his “brain damage” storyline this season reminds me a bit of my favorite Riddler arc: the one where he “reforms” as a P.I. and keeps trying to one-up Batman while solving cases.
I have a sneaking suspicion that this will be a limited series that ultimately ties into the main trilogy (teenage Yoda in ep. 9, anyone?), so I’d be perfectly happy seeing a Gina Carano spinoff. Her acting can be iffy, but she has great fighting skills and the hint of a backstory she gets is intriguing.
Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World - D-
Was I imagining things, or were there were straight up growling noises every time they showed a closeup of the AT-AT’s “face” with its glowing red “eyes”?
Yeah, now that you mention it the botched/dropped character arc for Finn might be one of the biggest failings of the new trilogy.
Yep, really all the episode needed was an additional 5 minutes to flesh out the villagers and/or the widow herself. Just to give the viewers better stakes for the conflict.
He was also great in a little indie sci-fi movie called Prospect.
Exactly. If I want nuance and attempts at philosophical engagement, I’ll watch Star Trek.
Or Decima.
you gotta say it Max MaDEEZNUTS
As soon as he popped up in the episode, I was all “Max Medeeznuts is the killer!” Twiddled my thumbs the rest of the episode while I waited for the investigation to loop back around to him.
I too was a little puzzled when the episode ended with everything working out. Most of this episode seemed to evidence Sherlock’s continued intractability, so I expected things to end with the divide between the two characters even wider.
Yeah, she was pretty vocal about having no interest in working with them, but it was disappointing that they didn’t give her a chance to talk about why.
The big twist in this episode is that it was just bad acting on her part.
SHHHH It’s okay Lenny, it’ll all be over in a minute.
Okay, I’ll say it: This is an offensively bad take. Half-retracting before doubling down on it further downthread doesn’t help either.
Fucking thank you. I am so sick of the “Netflix bloat,” where I keep my finger on the fast forward button as I watch because I know there’s a ton of flab in that 57 minute episode that should have been 44.
I think there was a hint of him feeling conflicted once he brought the suuga to the Jawas and they just tore into it like a snack.
The best part is how he really gets into it and she has to tell him to shut up.
