Honestly, we’re just lucky they used one of her less grating songs. The twee, cutesy vocalizations are as irritating to me as David Byrne’s vocalizations are delightful.

At least the underwhelming season 4 was repurposed as buildup for the fantastic season 5, so I can forgive that season better than 6.5 or 7.
“Wistful fantasy sequence with contrasting ‘realities,’ set to a grating Regina Spektor song? What is this, 500 Days of Summer?”
- my actual thoughts while watching this episode
Dammit now that song is stuck in my head.
“But catcalling is a compliment! Why can’t women see that?”
Charmingly obnoxious use of “Mucka Blucka” in multiple episodes.
I agree with Kayla - that first appearance when he turns around with the glasses of wine (when you expect it to be Jason) just about broke me.
I was so confused by her borderline non-character. She has so much more to offer! (Even a snarky comment or mischievous smile would have been something.)
Oh my god they were literally setting up the “ghost visions” of Will. So ridiculous.
I like this idea, but I’m also stuck on the idea of the entire cast taking turns slapping Alicia throughout the episode. She’s such a scumbag by the end of the show.
And this “finale” had some Dexter vibes with the hallucinations of his dead mom.
“Can I just torture them now?”
“Satire requires a clarity of purpose and target lest it be mistaken for and contribute to that which it intends to criticize.”
The anarchy symbol on the desk fan cracked me up. I had to rewind and make sure I was actually seeing that.
Yup, for all its faults in the last few seasons, you still couldn’t accuse TGW of being pro government surveillance. They made their NSA leak a much more sympathetic dude than whatever was going on with the leaker in this episode.
I fucking love that sketch, even if it kind of rips off They Might Be Giants (the film not the band).
He’s great. I even kind of liked that weird Daniel Craig thriller Enduring Love because of him.
You could have just said Frasier instead of Jonathan Creek and some people might have actually known what you were talking about.
Finally, the MAX MEDINA reference I crave.
I really thought they were intentionally turning her into an antihero during seasons 4 and 5, but then they backpedaled and ever since her characterization has been a complete mess.
