Speaking of, it cracked me up that Cary’s “centering” or “happy place” music is literally about smoking a joint.

Yeah, the divorce should have been fallout from Alicia finding out that her election scandal was ultimately Peter’s fault, or something along those lines. Not because of the Boy Toy of the Week.
My god that opening was so transparently attempting to tug at your heartstrings, and it really irritated me. And maybe I’m just distrustful at this point of the show’s ability to handle nuance in regard to race, but I kept thinking how the intro worked too hard to generate sympathy for the character, as if the writers…
So like Annyong at the end of Arrested Development? I could get behind that.
This dude is so gross. I’ve been reading 7 years’ worth of these comments and continue to be puzzled how he was never banned or at least told off strongly.
I found myself not hating the closing shot this episode (as much as I loved how episodes would end in early seasons, I just end up irritated every time I finish an episode this season).
The actor is bi.
Yes, Galifianakis specifically requested permission from Costco to use the Kirkland brand as an ongoing gag on the show. A rare case where “product placement” is not sponsored and actually works fantastically.
Ah, the same game we used to play with Jack Shepard on LOST.
...and fucking killed it in Sorry to Bother You.
Yep, and then unfairly frames Cary and Diane as “the man” that Alicia has to fight. But honestly, I was taking Diane’s side during Alicia’s whole awkward convo with her. I’ve gotten really irritated with the Alicia character of late.
I’m just gonna assume that was a tongue-in-cheek statement.
Yup, Alicia screws over Lucca without giving it a second thought, yet the writers still thought it would be believable for her to make a profession of love (friendship) to Alicia like she’s the greatest thing ever.
I like how they forgot to switch out YouTube with ChumVids or whatever the heck the in-universe equivalent is supposed to be.
Diane’s current overtures toward conservatism
Yeah she was becoming pretty unlikable (in a good, anti-hero way) during seasons 4 and 5, but they dialed that back later on and started buying into their own “Saint Alicia” BS (or JM has too much influence over the direction of her character).
Nah, they’d just been giving all of the Marissa Gold dialogue to Grace this season, and now that Marissa is back Grace is once again superfluous.
If this season has ONE MORE SCENE of someone going “you’re bad because you stole my client!” I’m going to blow my top.
It’s really a shame that The Resident is unwatchable trash.
Yeah, Fusco had some great one-liners in this one. It felt like they were making up for his reduced screentime in the season so far. (Also a little more action for Reese.)
