I'm also curious as to whether they might do any Fire Theft stuff. I mean, personnel-wise, it was practically a SDRE album.

Should I take this to mean…
…that they'll mainly be playing stuff from their first two albums and not the much-beloved-by-me How It Feels To Be Something On and The Rising Tide? Man, it's like SDRE is two different bands, and the band I most wanted to reunite is not the one that's doing so.
I've got to agree that Salem's Lot makes a great starting point. Sure, there are a glut of vampire books on the market right now, but when one is as well done as Salem's Lot, it stands out above the rest. I'd say it's my second favorite vampire story after Dracula.
I'm also throwing in my disappointment over the omission of Where Eagles Dare. Nothing like seeing a classically trained Shakespearian actor like Burton waste entire battalions of Nazis with a machine gun. And there's just something indescribably awesome about seeing Eastwood simply say, "Hello," before popping a cap…
The big problem with pretty much all comics these days is that they're so damned expensive. Three to four dollars for a thirty-two-page pamphlet? (No way I could have convinced my mom to throw one of those in with the weekly groceries.) Look, not everything has to be printed on glossy, high-quality paper. I think they…
I'm guessing the episode in question is "Family," which is indeed a great one.
So when are Summer Glau and Sarah Michelle Gellar going to start dispensing mace?
@TomWaits,
I came down against season four unfairly the first time I saw it. I mean, I liked it, but after season three it couldn't be anything but a letdown. (Aside from that, it contains my two least favorite episodes, "Beer Bad" and "Where the Wild Things Are.") In retrospect, I've come to like it a lot more.
It's strange for me to read so many negative comments about season one, as I was hooked right from the get-go. I dunno, maybe it caught me when I was in just the right mood.
Inside was crap. Apart from the illogical actions already listed, let's not forget the scene where the heroine somehow finds, all within a five-foot radius of her, a spray can of flammable liquid, an implement with which to give herself a tracheotomy*, duct tape (which she puts over the tracheotomy hole, which should…
Someone was telling me she watched a making of featurette about the motion capture sessions for Guitar Hero Metallica, and that Lars was having trouble playing a song by one of the other artists (i.e., not Metallica). I suspected it might be "Blood and Thunder," but she had no idea which song it was.
Blood and Thunder
Just wondering if anyone's had a chance to play this one yet. I'm honestly curious as to whether or not Lars was able to play Brann Dailor's drum part for the mo-cap session.
Look, I'm tellin' ya, there's something moving and it ain't us!
Gold Eagle, publisher of Executioner and Deathlands, also recently started publishing a Tomb Raider rip-off called Rogue Angel. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.
I think Denisof would be a perfect candidate for some sort of noirish private detective show. Or maybe a supernatural-themed private detective show. (Too bad The Dresden Files came and went without casting him in the lead.)
Re: "You like to fuck baby heads?"
Yeah, The Way of the Gun made me like Ryan Phillippe. I don't know that I've seen another movie with him that I've liked as much as this—Gosford Park comes close—but I always think he does a good job.
Wow. I actually missed the opportunity to see Creature in 3D. Can we go back in time and swap places, please?
@Richie Alpert…
