End of an era for me. Ron Dennis was McLaren and McLaren was Ron Dennis; the two were basically inseparable and one and the same in my eyes. He basically made them what they are and set the benchmark for Formula 1 quality, performance, and technical competence.

I think this is seen in a different light than VW. VW willingly and pathologically cheated even when the technology existed for them to meet emissions. Where as this is, possibly, more of a case of engineering much to closely to the standards.
