I feel like you're getting a lot of dislike around here lately Michael. Even if some of it is in jest :) So I just wanna say that I love your writing style and the posts you churn out. They're often pretty interesting!
I'm pretty sure thats more due to reflections off other objects though? I'm %90 sure that they designed them so that the effect I'm describing would be feasible in a sound chamber. (I read up a lot on them when they were being developed a couple of years ago, i might be a bit rusty or they may have changed them in the…
To their credit, the point of LRAD's is that they are incredibly focused. You can be right next to one of them and not hear a single thing, but a person right next to you in the line of fire can have their hearing gone forever. So workers and residents won't hear a thing. Providing they're setting them up correctly.…
To everyone else; this is actually a website for paper craft F1 model templates, and not a "I make $$$ working from home!" website like i thought it would be. Really good site actually, once you translate it!
My Lexus, of which we now share in common, gets equivalent to 16mpg, so theres that.
Australia is already tame enough! You do have your trouble makers though.
I was driving along beside an F-450 on the way to uni a couple of weeks ago down some narrow roads in Melbourne. Its literally wider than some of our actual trucks. It was not fun. It was over the lines about %80 of the time.
Not long till that actually!

Not only improved fuel economy from taking the hardest part of driving away from the engine (from stop to moving) it should realistically improve the lifespan of the engine too, because that motion is meant to be extremely hard on ICE components
Im surprised that this hasn't caught on in cheaper cars, the tech isn't cheap, but its used in some public toilets and meeting rooms etc. and the prices have gone down a fair bit since it really started catching on and being used around 2006. I think the option on this maybach had some maybach inflation added to it ;)
Yeah we got it!
Well I'm flattered! :)
Raphael, you're awesome. But Australians are Right Hand Drive. Not to mention I don't have enough fingers to count everything that is immediately illegal with this car.
Jalopnik has been reporting on this for at least a month or two now.
My grandparents were born from 1910-1930, I'm 19. Your theory doesn't work very well :/
The newer trains here (Melbourne) have doors that are electrically operated, you press a button and they open, but they lock automatically and can't be opened till the train is stopped (of course theres emergency open as well).
I certainly do now! Haha :)
Holy shit. I had this problem once, except I've only had one car and its an automatic. It wasn't turning over and the starter was ticking, I immediately assumed I had a flat battery (not unheard of for me) and I rang the roadside assistance provided by my insurance company. I tell them the problem, they look at my car…
Thats what its like in all of Australia ;____;
