People used to relocate to find work. Plenty of migrations of workers in US history. Why aren’t people doing it now? Like from states and cities with high jobless rates?

This isn’t really new though. There have always been older school dealers that hold gross over sales, even pre-pandemic. It may be a bit more out in the open now though.

While that certainly is possible, I would be very disappointed if the Tacoma matched the MPGs with the previous gen. If we get an increase of 4MPGs for the hybrid Tacoma, that gets it to 24 MPGs combined, matching the Jeep Gladiator 4WD diesel and tying it for best in class MPGs. I don’t think that is out of the

Makes me wonder, this truck is based on the new Tundra platform with a similar type hybrid power plant, yet the new Tundra hasn’t been well received by the motoring press in comparison to it’s Detroit competitors.

Immediately though the same thing. I feel like I’d hit that thing every time I went into 5th.

I, for one, look forward to being killed by an errant 5-tonne monster with a hood line taller than my roof.”

Overall I’m very excited for the new Toyota Tacoma.

Anyone who has actually looked at the data will come to the same conclusions as Toyota.

Toyota is all over US politics lmao

Maybe. I’m not sure the money trickles back to consumers. I might be wrong.

I am not seeing 2-3 year old cars available for 30-50% off MSRP. I would be in the market for a minivan right now—that would make the most sense for my family. A two year old Sienna right now is basically still going for MSRP.  A new Sienna, as of a few months ago, goes for MSRP , but requires a payment to hold the

My 2016 Silverado (5.3L/8 spd) gets better MPG than I got in my 2016 Colorado Z71. Kind of sad.

Ford’s been doing it for over a decade with the EcoBoost just fine.  That being said, if you are buying a Canyon/Colorado and plan on doing lots of towing, you should probably be a pretty light trailer or you should likely consider what your duty cycle is going to be...

ugh making cars is hard, or rather making a profit off making cars is hard.

Will a manual Tacoma actually show up on dealer lots though?

Given Hyundai-Kia’s recent controversies on labour laws (the child labour issue comes to mind), I get the sense that “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” - maybe it does get farmed out to these dubious/sketchy staffing agencies, but the buck ultimately stops at Hyundai-Kia for entering into agreements with these agencie

True but buyers will have to wait to get it. And who knows what the rules will be then. The Equinox EV is launching with the pricer loaded 2RS trim first. Base 1LT and 2LT come next Spring.

1st Gear: These real time price adjustments aka “surge” pricing or in this case sink pricing is no different than dealers offering rebates and incentives subsidized by the automaker so that the buyer gets a net discount out the door. When demand is high, dealers add a markup above MSRP and when times are rough, it’s

At this point we have made what amounts to a deal with the devil. And it all boiled down to money. We “ Have” to be friends with Saudi Arabia due to their control over the oil supply as well as their influence in the middle east. Nevermind that its one of the most repressive countries on the planet where most of the

Yeah, nevermind the fact that China would like nothing more than to claim sovereignty over a good chunk of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
