They stopped donating to them. Isn’t that what you wanted? Even after you get what you want, you can’t let it go.

CFA stopped donating to Paul Anderson Youth Homes in 2017. It says that in the linked article about CFA in the zamboni story. And the CEO can personally condemn something if he wants, but the organization isn’t actually doing anything.

Well, the FCA website has a list of all the chapters in the US and 60+ countries. And yeah, CFA also donates to that horrible Salvation Army. Again, not seeing that much to get upset over.

Nice deflection. I guess we know when you’re stumped.

I feel like not discriminating themselves across the millions of potential employees and customers pretty much outweighs giving money to an organization that has this one bad policy.

So, instead of boycotting FCA, and all the colleges, businesses, athletes, coaches, celebrities, etc. that work directly with them, your solution is to boycott a brand of chicken sandwiches. Bravo.

My threshold is probably somewhere closer to the actual bad action being committed. Like, why aren’t you boycotting all the colleges that host FCA? They aren’t some abstract donors. They’re right there where FCA is doing all the evil. Yet, your threshold is off boycotting chicken sandwiches?

Then how does the organization they’re donating to get away with it?

I get people don’t like that FCA has the anti-homosexual policy. I just don’t see how that equates to Chick-fil-A being evil. The FCA is a large organization with chapters in every state and members in just about every major college in the country. But somehow, all these schools AREN’T evil for, you know, actually

If they really are a homophobic organization, why don’t they ban hiring homosexuals in their own restaurants? Donating to an organization with an anti-homosexual policy for councilors seems like a pretty weak way to express such a massive homophobic agenda.

Of course, the reason CFA gives to Fellowship of Christian Athletes has nothing to do with FCA’s ban on homosexual councilors, but that nuance isn’t as zesty as your hot take, so who cares?

It’s not whitewashing. It’s called, “appropriation.” Get your trigger terms straight, Doctor.

No, that’s a thing dumbshit Americans Florida Man does.

Very good article. You should dump these losers and write for the Athletic.

For a dinner party where the host was serving a Mexican dish, I brought one of those Lady of Guadalupe candles you see in the top shelf of the grocery store. That candle now makes an appearance at every dinner party that family hosts. I feel like the Lady’s continued luminescence has proven a better gift than any

Dyer couldn’t have been down because if he were down, then the play would have been whistled dead.

It just means more.

What an informative how-to. I’d have never guessed the secret to doing this is to walk into a Ben & Jerry’s and ask for a free ice cream cone.

The Pancake Power guy played some D&D at some recent Pax conventions. He’s very entertaining.
