Something similar happened to a friend of mine - local Nissan dealer was advertising Micras for $9,995Cdn. He went to buy two of them - one for each of his kids. The catch was that they didn’t have any of the stripper models, they had the automatic and power windows models for $12,995 or AC for $13,995. The dealer

You’re correct - it says passenger seat (singular). I read it as passenger seats. Ugly and crashed...

The article says that the original seats are included, so this is probably just an accident of bad taste. The wheels and rear spoiler also look the work of someone with poor taste.

It’s another victory of the accountants over the engineers. I remember watching an interview with Bob Lutz where he talked about a point in time at GM where the accountants took over the company and engineering was pushed aside. It might have been when Roger Smith became chairman.

I love the car but not the price. However, I’m not ready to vote “I hate it”, so NP from me. If only this had the turbo 4 from the previous generation...

Fortunately, we live on a planet where the threat from worms in the dirt is limited to the threat of the icky diseases then carry rather than digestion.

Maybe the Niva was/is better now but the ones that came to Canada in the 1980s were terrible. The Signet was slightly worse and the Samara slightly better. Neither was as bad as the Skoda 130.

An upgraded supercharger, a smaller puppy, BC coils and an installed-but-not-in-use meth injection kit.

The comment in the article that the automatic was sourced from FF had me scratching my head - I’ve heard of FF doing AWD systems but not automatics. A GM 4 speed makes a lot more sense.

I was once on a plane where the person at the exit row window got in an argument with a flight attendant as to whether he should throw the window out or place it on the seat (he argued for the former). He backed down when the FA threatened to re-seat him but for the remainder of the flight told me and anyone else who

Most of these got used up as painter’s cars - lots of room for paint and supplies inside (with the seats folded) and ladders on the roof. This is a survivor, but painters bought them because they were reliable and cheap, this one is not cheap.

Let’s say you are correct and the truck on its own is worth $15k (I disagree, BTW and I love 7.3s). The seller is still trying to get $35k for it. Then they want another $35k for a camper that retails for around $28k. Even with your math, this thing is worth $43k max.

How is it we live in a time where telling people that bringing a loaded, unholstered weapon into the airport will get you arrested is news? Shouldn’t that just be obvious to everyone?

When I was a kid in the 1970's, one of my neighbor’s kids had one of these (in rootbeer brown) that they rode around the neighborhood. I had a few chances to ride it around and it was a hoot. Nobody cared that a bunch of kids were riding an unlicensed motorcycle around the streets and through the parks.

More likely he heard you singing “Drugs in my pocket” with the headphones on.....

On the Radio: I would have gone with Skylab by The Monks.

These were always less than the sum of the parts. They should have been a rocket but they were slower than the GT, they should have handled well, but they didn’t handle as well as a Z28 (in fairness, it was better than the contemporary GT), the engine should have been sophisticated but it was a poster child of NVH and

Aren’t these the ones that suffer from bore scoring? I thought only the turbo V8s were safe.

I have a 2002 V70 T5 with twice the mileage and a lot of rust. Powertrain is still excellent. I’ll let it go for 1/2 that! $11k and I’ll even pick you up at the airport for a fly and drive!

Jesus...calling an LEO a bitch is never a good start. Those officers showed admirable restraint, IMO.
