Great, now I’m going to have flashback nightmares about the HR Giger museum in Gruyere.

C4 Corvette and Jon Bon Jovi?

“Don’t worry, this is the reliable version of the 4.2l V8" - said no one who has ever worked on an Audi 4.2l V8.

I thought it was David Hasselhoff after a weekend bender.

You could get the DOHC V8 and FWD in the Taurus SHO...but that car is even less appealing inside than this one.

But to your point, Lexus couldn’t make a thing of beauty - well, they probably could, but they haven’t in the past decade or so.

Neutral: I am at the unhappy intersection where both my Yamaha and KTM need valve clearance checks. I finished the checks on the Yamaha (all in spec - no removing the cams!) and took it for a ride on the weekend - It was glorious. Next up, the KTM - will my luck hold?

This would have the 235hp 5.4. The 260hp came in 1999 with the PI heads. 235/260hp isn’t much in these, they are pretty gutless. I had one from 1999-2015 and it was very reliable, if dull to drive.

Didn’t Chris Bangle work for Alfa around this time? It looks like his work ie “The styling was Bangled”

My first thought was that they were going to change the snake/dragon to an electric cord with a plug at the end. That would have been cool but this is, uh, OK, I guess.

Agree 100%. I have four cars in the family - the oldest is a 2002 and the newest is a 2015 and two of the four were purchased new (another was a 2 year old CPO lease return). I’m not one to trade in early - but I’d still be PO’d if I purchased a Model S for $125k and then Tesla dropped the price by $25k.

It can’t help that your resale is terrible because Tesla keeps slashing prices on new cars. If you buy a Camry/CR-V, you pretty much know how much depreciation you will take if you sell it. For a Tesla, that’s entirely at Elon’s whim.

So beautiful. Congratulations!

My next door neighbor has one exactly like this (but black). Those carbs are the biggest issue on the car - keeping them in sync and clean with today’s gas and limited driving is a constant struggle. Starting it involves 10 minutes of nursing to keep it running. I’d look for a fuel injected car, although it sounds

It’s a shame so few people give Infiniti the time of day, since cars like today’s Nice Price or No Dice M45x prove the company has had some solid models in its lineup. Let’s decide whether its price warrants further attention.

I doubt you’d get to 100k on the VW without replacing the water pump. It’s a German thing.

I live in Canada and that’s ¢/liter, which is equivalent to about $4.35/gallon (US) for regular.

Seems a bit harsh. Where I live, the price isn’t always halfway in between and you would be ahead with a 50/50 mix.

The face is OK, but its butt is butt ugly.

They go to Canada...or at least used to ...(Googles)...yep, they still do!
