As an alternative, how about running a far more fun Secret Santa instead?

A friend of mine took a really good photo of the moon with his mobile phone through a telescope eyepiece. He used an app called Registax which takes a short film, breaks all the frames into single images and combines them all to make a single picture. There are videos on YouTube showing you how to do it.

If you already have a Raspberry Pi in your sitting room then a $5 microphone and an hour or so of free time and you can get Echo on your Pi. It probably isn’t a good long term solution - but it’s a cheap way to find out whether or not you really would use such a thing.

They block it at my work too - but the bookmarklets work just fine. Give those a go.

It’s not very good, compared to the way that (say) Dropbox integrates into Windows. For example, high def screens aren’t supported at all (the text in the explorer is way too small) and when you drag and drop an image out of explorer to somewhere else you often end up with a tiny photo - rather than the actual image.

My favourite lie with statistics is the one around voting - where you assume that people who didn’t vote would have voted for the cause you’re trying to champion.

My other half uses a EOS 100D, it’s not as small as the mirrorless here but it’s a lot smaller than my 700D.

The 30 pin was released in 2003, lasted 9 years and was replaced in 2012 with the lightening connector - which, to date, has lasted 4 years. Two connectors in thirteen years.

Not sure how possible it would have been, given the size of the case, but what would have been nice is if it has a microSD slot in the frame. Then you could have put in whatever microSD card you wanted (or had lying around).

Assuming this isn’t an April Fools, I think it’s probably due to the fact that iOS flushes the space taken up by “other” in order to accommodate the download. Many people have reported that their “other” content can take up abnormally large amounts of space (even after you’ve factored in content which you legitimately

Shark007 works okay, but a cleaner alternative is to install Plex which can then be launched from WMC.

Why do people keep recommending Plex and Kodi over Windows Media Center? Neither support CableCard and Plex doesn’t support Live TV.

Take popcorn in with you. The supermarkets near the cinemas (here in the UK) do a roaring trade in popcorn and fizzy drinks.

Worth noting that those independent ATMs have to tell you about any additional charges they will make (prior to giving you the money) and then make you press a button confirming your acceptance the fee. At that point, there is also a “cancel” button and you’ll get your card back.

Use Double Driver (http://www.boozet.org/dd.htm - free, nothing to install) to backup your drivers onto a USB stick (you could even create a folder on the USB stick with the Windows installer). Once you’re done installing open Device Manager, right click on anything with an exclamation mark, select “install driver”

I really miss this physical left and right buttons. With those you can hold the Kindle and change pages without having to move your hands.

I really like the Nomos designs too, especially the Tangomat Datum. For those people looking for something slightly cheaper then the STOWA Antea is very similar:

Here's an example why using the iPhone 6 (64GB) in the UK as an example. To be fair it'll differ in other countries - more-so in the USA.

The other thing that annoys me about the iPad Mini 3 is that the Mini line used to be exactly the same as the Air line, just with a smaller screen. Apple are now following the same line of thinking as Android OEMs which is, essentially, if you want a smaller screen you must also compromise on the specifications.

I couldn't help noticing that, apart from the person who posted this video, every other person filming was holding their phone the wrong way.
