I can understand why the treatment of Jack irked King. Jack is very clearly an avatar for King himself, so King saw him as a flawed but ultimately decent man fighting for his soul. In the book, his ultimate failure to defeat his demons for the sake of his family is painted as a tragedy. Kubrick saw Jack as a trapped

The fussy little tap he gives the molding is hilarious.

How is it possible that Bieber looks older than Cruise in that picture?

When you’re trying to make audiences forget living legend Jack Nicholson in one of the most iconic performances of all time, there’s only one man to call: the other guy from Wings.

Wow. This might be the hardest I’ve ever eye-rolled in my life. Impressive. I think I detached a retina.

I took the many previous Superman iterations as the core Superman. I didn’t need to see all that old Donner stuff rehashed again. Superman Returns taught us that was a dead end anyway. So was the Snyder Superman, it turned out, but I, at least, thought it was an interesting diversion. I knew the “real” Supes would

Personally, I’m glad that they try weird interpretations. I enjoyed the Snyder films (well, not Justice League) as Elseworld style What ifs? but I gotta admit that they never came together into anything cohesive. My problem is that WB clearly has no faith in any of its projects. First sign of trouble, they ditch the

Maybe it’s time to take Warner Bros’ toys away and give them to a more deserving studio who would appreciate them.

Thank God someone is finally tackling the real issues.

It was terrible, almost exclusively because they didn’t take it seriously and turned the character into a self-aware joke. So obviously they’re doubling down on that aspect for the new one.

I remember when I finally learned the truth. I had to read it off the back of a Snapple cap.

I found a typo in the headline.

True. If they were taking the detective approach with a more grizzled Batman, I’d be over the moon.

The detective aspect is my favorite side of the character, but wouldn’t it be more interesting to explore if he’s an established fixture in Gotham and already has history with all of the lowlifes of the criminal underworld he needs to shake loose clues from? I’d like to see him embodying more of the Philip Marlowe arch

We at the studio want an Alfred with attitude. He’s edgy, he’s “in your face.” You’ve heard the expression “let’s get busy”? Well, this is an Alfred who gets “biz-zay!” Consistently and thoroughly.

Meh. Let me know when he’s returning. Returning is where the action is.

I would love that. Batman is generally characterized as an older gentleman who has years of experience under his belt and a complete mastery of himself and his environment. Not a fresh-faced young dilettante still figuring out how to get by in this crazy world. There’s exactly one (1) Batman story that features the

This isn’t surprising. All movies without sequels nowadays are just failed trilogy-starters.

Not the worst idea, but probably the most obvious.
