Meanwhile, back at the AT&T Center...
If Corey Brewer can get recycled by the Sixers, I’m sure the Lakers can just resuscitate Joe Johnson or Arron Afflalo and tell them to get the hell out of the way of a LeBron/AD pick-and-roll.
The starting chant for “DE-FENSE” made me think someone just got shot.
They caught him in the act of self-tampering and now are rubbing his nose in it. That’ll teach him.
Cut to John Wetteland shaking his head disapprovingly.
He should have just put his Pelicans jersey in the laundry and nobody would be the wiser.
They called a goal-tend on that play, yes?
My apologies then - was just excited and was waiting to see it posted!
Cool story, but when is Deadspin going to write something about Naomi Osaka winning the Australian Open? Her victory speech was one of the most humble and authentic speeches imaginable and she’s now world #1.
The team this year without LeBron is not the same as last year. The Lakers had Julius Randle last year and let him walk for nothing. The same Randle that has improved every year in the league and is a borderline All Star this year.
But the white man, Drew Brees, put the black man in the situation to succeed. So...
Got an extra second on the clock as it crossed the line. Plenty of time.
Imagine the gift basket swag. Epic potential.
I have no doubt that Rivera is a first-ballot HOFer, yet the first unanimous? Guys like Griffey Jr., Ripken, Gwynn, Nolan Ryan, Greg Maddux... not good enough to be unanimous?
Let’s go Rams. Please. Please?
There’s too much money on these games to not allow obvious miscarriages of officiating like this to go un-checked. Goodness was that ever epic.
I was surprised at how likable I found him. Perhaps he has this much attention because he joined the Warriors - I don’t think there would be nearly this much fawning attention if he were rehabbing for the Pelicans - yet all I could think was how absolutely shitty it must be to try and recover to the status of top 20…
If by “spotlight” he means a chance to expose institutional predation to its rotten core, then sign me up for more ambulance chasers.
And that’s why, you always... leave... a note.
I think that both the brain trauma argument and the “you’ll make more money long-term” argument generally don’t apply to quarterbacks.
