Unnatural is precisely the right word. She could use a meal.

I mean, my favorite car doesn’t have carpet anymore. Or windows. Or a full dashboard. But it has a cage!

I mean, I can sketch out the design of a smartphone or a device, or even whip up a decent digital rendering. But that’s far from designing the device... Drawing a concept is NOT design.

If you are “employing” an engineer or architect to develop plans or specifications they are the legal and assumed “designers” of the project. If you are hiring them to essentially “stamp” your drawings both of you are breaking the laws of most states with respect to licensing. IF a client is hiring a non-licensed

Sketching one beam connection detail does not constitute designing the entire project. The chickenshit excuse from Dwell that they let the owner decide who designed the house is one reason I do not submit any of my residential projects to them. There is a set of construction documents on file somewhere and I am

Clients like Kim are exactly why I got out of architecture. And that’s all he was: a client. He didn't even try to be a good client, but instead most likely just got in the way.

Naw, architecture/design is fraught with huge egos and hipsterism. Imagining a design and seeing it built is an addictive drug, and it’s hard not to take credit for something, even if your involvement was limited.

Do it in the dirt! Blast from the past...........1934.

We think alike, Jason. I’ve been saying for years there needs to be a hybrid or all electric minivan (my choice would be the Mazda5, but Americans aren’t smart enough to realize it’s awesomeness in sufficient numbers, so I doubt it will ever happen).

Captained-out

I had an Aerostar that was captained-out... These days, vans all seem to be bosuned-out, despite the bloat.

Come to Australia.

I like this idea. Maybe add some slalom cones to the actual drag strip part to keep speeds down a little. That might make it safer and even more accessible.

It’s fifty fifty weight distribution...if you consider the rear axle the balance point.

Mr. Polar Bear approves.

It’s relevant that the entire party needs to be overhauled and the system is broken when the sitting dem POTUS is a POC and the frontrunner for dem POTUS is a woman. Somehow the system wasn’t broken when it was white men running things. Apparently. Or not enough to care about a revolution.
