Maybe I'm a dumb-dumb and I haven't read the Time article yet so I'm not familiar with the story and how it's framed, but I'm sort of failing to see how this is trolling. I think, rather, it's an eye-grabbing cover (albeit WAY overdue) that draws attention to a pervasive and horrific epidemic. It's better than just

Is it trolling? Or is it addressing an issue that (finally) has received the national attention that it warrants?

How is suggesting that the way higher education handles rape is a crisis trolling? It sounds like they're addressing not just the issue that it exists, but the way it's handled?

You don't expect Qataris to build their own stadiums do you? That's what expendables are for.

I am most upset that she misspelled "gyros," but also happy that she's not pronouncing it "jeye-roh." So conflicted!

[sputters incoherently] But, but, but! False! Health is determined by what gives me boners! That's just science. Learn a book, already. Evolution means that... hunter-gatherers prefer...my boner dictates that......what was I saying?

The writer for Bwog may have been justly fired, may have been unjustly fired. Either way, the university is responsible for this sorry state of affairs. It's the school administration that let it get to the point where some women thought anonymously accusing men of sexual assault/rape was their last, best hope.

*puts on cunt hat*

You get out of here with your calm rationale and logical reasoning.

Qatar is just too hot for outdoor physical work. They have enough money so they really ought to get someone to build large indoor structures where they can work in relative comfort.

I'm not surprised that people don't know what a healthy body looks like. I doubt she's outside of the normal weight range, she's just not tight and taut anymore. She looks happy.

Boob jobs and tummy tucks are hardly objectively healthy lifestyle choices.

I'd love to have a drink with Branson. Not to hook up, obviously, but he seems like he'd be absolutely fascinating to meet. I bet he's got some awesome stories as well.

Ha ha ha ha! Oh, Lindy! Don't get me wrong, I clicked and I'll keep clicking b/c it's entertaining. And the conspiracy theories! But, nope, this incident does not really "matter".

Meh. I couldn't really care less about Beyonce and her "mysterious life". I just saw a woman beating the shit out of her sister's husband, and my interest was piqued.

I find it quite telling that Solange and Jay Z got into fisticuffs, and yet all the stories seem to somehow revolve around Beyoncé.

I noticed that she changed the language of her "mission" to reflect that the site is about making "health a priority," meaning working out comes before anything else, including kids, a bath and snuggling with the husband. The flipside, of course, is that you could argue that snuggling/kids/a bath *is* making "health"

The problem with the "what's your excuse" tag line is that it pre-supposes that every one wants & values the same thing (or that they should want or value the same thing)- i.e. achieving their personal version of Fit Mom's body. It follows from that presumption that if one is not actively pursuing that goal, then one

-> Where babies come from.

(flipside)

-> Where her head is stuck.
