I also loved how Larry Wilmore did not give a single fuck about the audience. He straight up did not care about their opinion or their reactions except to laugh at them for being a tough (white) crowd.

No matter how amazing the CG looks I can’t help but be saddend that we’re slowly headed to a movie industry where we never again see the real world in a movie. Just a synthetic version of it inside a computer.

The way I read his reaction in that scene is horror that he’s momentarily become his father, though. At the slight risk of reading too much into it, that one moment addresses the cyclical violence of poverty and to me at least it’s a pivotal moment of the film.

I think Bernie has a lot of good qualities, and I generally am more ideologically aligned with him than with Hillary, but this is one of those things that makes me wonder about his ability to achieve his goals when in office (or, the cynic in me says, his desire to do so).
